Cagayan Episode 5 LF

Episode 5 was a time for the new, post shuffle alliances to solidify. Even though the beginning was marred by an emotionally stunted quitter, the rest of the episode was extremely entertaining. Tony runs the gamut from inspired to clueless all in the course of a few hours. We are looking forward to see if he will be able to repair his "badge pledge" alliance with Sarah, or if she will take revenge after the merge.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twelve fans shared their thoughts on episode 5 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Kenny, Rashmi, Nicki, Ronda, Meredith, Drew, BrandonB, BrandonA, James, Carolyn, Josh, and Paul

SFP Interview: Second Castoff from Episode 5 of Survivor Cagayan

This week we interviewed Alexis Maxwell. She left the game in episode 5 of Survivor Cagayan. Alexis started the game with a strong alliance, but their first loss combined with the tribal shuffle sent her game into a tail spin. She worked hard to ingratiate herself with the new, controlling alliance, but it was all to no avail in the end. She was sent packing, unable to shake the stigma of that original alliance.

Listen to this interview to hear how she was chosen for the show, how she feels about her Survivor experience, how she felt watching it all play out on TV and more!

Cagayan Episode 5

After all the positives we've experienced this season, it was sad to have it marred by a quitter. We saw hints of this inherent weakness in Lindsey back during the storms, so it was not a surprise to see her fold like a piece of paper once the odds were not in her favor. In spite of this set back, there were still plenty of exciting developments in this episode. Tony was a roller coaster of activity, first being creative and succeeding in casting a shadow over Jeremiah but then over sharing with his alliance and finally by over celebrating a victory from a minority alliance position. The brains alliance is flush with their new sense of power, but they don't really appear to be cementing a solid, lasting majority alliance either. Alexis went into desperation mode. Jeremiah fumbled his way through another tribal council, and Morgan got some sweet revenge. The merge is coming, and there appears to be several castaways that will be left to act as free agents.

Which group of five offers the best chance for Sarah? Will Tony end up sharing his HII? What is the best overall play for Morgan, Jeremiah, Sarah and Woo? Do you think there might be the possibility we will see an entirely new majority alliance form? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here are the tribes after episode 5.
New Aparri:Jeremiah, Kass, Morgan, Sarah, Spencer and Tasha
New Solana:Jefra, LJ, Tony, Trish and Woo

Cagayan Episode 4 LF

Judging from the feedback, this season continues to deliver on multiple levels. Most of you believe LJ and Tony must have had a deeper conversation that we did not get to hear, but no one was complaining about the blindside at Tribal Council. Theories were split on whether it was Tony's best move, whether Lindsey will actually quit, and especially on Morgan's future. The challenge now will be to see who can build alliances to last through the merge. We can't wait for episode 5.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Sixteen fans shared their thoughts on episode 4 and predictions for what we'll see next.

SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 4 of Survivor Cagayan

This week we interviewed Cliff Robinson. He left the game in episode 4 of Survivor Cagayan. As the second tallest person to the play the game at six foot ten inches and a former professional athlete, there was no way "Uncle Cliffy" was going to "fly under the radar". In spite of all that, he was able to initially win over many members of his tribe. That good will was gone by day eleven. It took them a couple of tries, but Trish was eventually able to leverage some new blood via a tribal shuffle to finally take him out on day fourteen.

Listen to this interview to hear how he provided for his tribe, his assessment of his tribemates, where he went wrong with Trish and lots more!

Cagayan Episode 4

We got tribal shuffles, new beginnings, exciting challenges, and blindsides. This episode had it all. Just when the castaways start to think they have it figured out, Survivor scrambles the tribes and forces everyone to rethink their alliances and standings in the game. No one would have been surprised to see the Brain tribe continue to get decimated, but now they will likely all make the merge and some might even make it to day 39. The Beauty tribe suffered the biggest split and three of them promptly turned on each other. The majority of the Brawn tribe lost a challenge that appeared to be tailor made for them to excel at then followed in Beauty's footsteps by splitting up their alliance too. We are really enjoying this season!

Who emerged from the tribe shuffle in the best and worst positions? What do you think will become of Sarah? How did LJ decide not to play his HII? Is Lindsey really in danger of quitting? Do you think New Solana will be able to recover? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here are the tribes after episode 4.
New Aparri:Alexis, Jeremiah, Kass, Morgan, Sarah, Spencer and Tasha
New Solana:Jefra, Lindsey, LJ, Tony, Trish and Woo

Cagayan Episode 3 LF

There was a definite split in the feedback this week. Some thought they should have kept J'Tia and the other group was ecstatic to see her go. Morgan's ability to think on her feet continues to impress, but many doubt that she can leverage that to get her to the end. Sarah's attempt to throw the challenge made her look much like Tony from the perspective of playing too hard before it was required. We are all hoping that the tribal shuffle gives us two balanced tribes that will have to face off and fight hard for every victory as we close in on the merge. This reset should be really interesting as we watch close to see who adapts the quickest.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Fifteen fans shared their thoughts on episode 3 and predictions for what we'll see next.

SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 3 of Survivor Cagayan

This week we interviewed J'Tia Taylor. She left the game in episode 3 of Survivor Cagayan. J'Tia represents the worst nightmare of every fan who has ever hoped and dreamed about becoming a castaway on their favorite show. To find out, in front of friends, family and millions of fellow fans, that you have absolutely no aptitude for the game would be devastating. At least her dysfunctional tribe finally put her out of her misery.

Listen to this interview to hear more details on the rice sabotage event, how their food options surprisingly improved afterwards, her assessment of her tribemates and lots more!

Cagayan Episode 3

At last, the one person from the "Brains" tribe that should have been first to go, finally got the boot. The funniest part was that it was apparently a difficult decision for the remaining tribemates to make. After being sent to the very bottom of her tribe, Morgan still remains as a lethal adversary. Jeremiah is truly no match for her. The controlling alliance in the Brawn tribe fell into the classic pattern of an ultra successful tribe and decided they could manage throwing a challenge to ensure future control. Fortunately for them, the "Brains" tribe is so staggeringly incompetent at physical challenges that they were worse than Brawn even when they were trying to lose.

Who would you have kept: J'Tia or Spencer? Can you think of a worse tribe than this Brains tribe? What did you think of Sarah's choice to throw the challenge? Will it come back to haunt her? Who does the tribal shuffle stand to help the most? Can Sarah escape from Tony's deception? Will Cliff or Lindsey suspect they attempted to throw the challenge? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here are the tribes after episode 3.
Aparri/Brawn:Cliff, Lindsey, Sarah, Tony, Trish and Woo
Luzon/Brains:Kass, Spencer and Tasha
Solana/Beauty:Alexis, Jefra, Jeremiah, LJ and Morgan
