Survivor Fans Podcast
Jo Ann and Stacy follow the hit reality show Survivor.

It is time to wrap this one up but not before checking in one last time with the fans to get your perspective on the Finale, Reunion show and the season as a whole. Overall, the consensus is that most of us were pleasantly surprised with how good this one turned out. Many of us were skeptical back at the start of the season but this was definitely one of the best seasons with returning players that we have ever been treated to.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Eleven fans shared their thoughts on the finale along with some hopes for what we can expect in the next season.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Jody, Michelle, Kenny, Samantha, James, Drew, Mikeybear, Josh, Jeremiah, Sean and Paul. Thanks for taking time out of your busy holiday schedules to help wrap this one up with some great insights and hearty laughs.

Blood vs. Water Finale

Our apologies for the delay, but we're back now! We enjoyed the Finale and most of the Reunion show. The Finale included several solid challenges, and it was really nice to see a jury reward great gameplay. We think Tyson's win was all the more impressive given the level of competition he faced combined with the fact that he played masterfully all the way through. The biggest editing surprise was learning about the huge gap in Monica's social game. We were happy to see everyone back on stage for the Reunion show, and only Marissa missed out on getting to speak, which was a huge improvement over previous seasons. All in all, it was a solid end to a great season!

JSFL Update: Congratulations to Steve W., winner of this season's JSFL!
Note:BrandonA and Jonathan is Awesome, please check the podcast for details on the challenge debt you now owe.

SFP Interview: Tyson Apostol from Survivor Blood vs. Water

Today we interviewed Tyson Apostol. He won Survivor Blood vs. Water! He played a masterful game that was so above and beyond his competition that he barely got any questions at Tribal Council. This version of Tyson was dramatically different from the one we saw the previous two times, and the changes he made to adapt to all the twists this season including being physically injured early in the game make it all that more impressive.

Listen to this interview to hear why he was more emotional this season, his answer to Caleb's question, an update on his shoulder injury and lots more!

SFP Interview: Monica Culpepper from Survivor Blood vs. Water

Today we interviewed Monica Culpepper. She finished in second place in Survivor Blood vs. Water. After being blindsided in her first season, she returned to play a super cautious game, made better alliances, and it all served her much better this time. Unfortunately, she remained an enigma to her fellow castaways and that lack of a personal connection became the albatross around her neck that ultimately unraveled her social game.

Listen to this interview to hear extra details on her strategy, more on the questions she got at the final Tribal Council, how it all impacted her on a personal level and lots more!

SFP Interview: Gervase Peterson from Survivor Blood vs. Water

Today we interviewed Gervase Peterson. He finished in third place in Survivor Blood vs. Water. It was impressive to see him make it to the final three given it had been 13 years since he last played, but there was a fundamental flaw in his social game. Gervase started alienating potential jury members in the first challenge. His cousin Marissa paid the price for that, but no amount of under the radar playing could save him after he had multiple tribal council blow ups and nothing to really differentiate himself from the winner.

Listen to this interview to hear what he did differently to prepare this time, how he was working hard behind the scenes to build trust, what tripped him up on that last challenge and lots more!

SFP Interview: Ciera Easton and Tina Wesson from Survivor Blood vs. Water

Today we interviewed Ciera Easton and Tina Wesson. They left the game in the finale of Survivor Blood vs. Water. Ciera was an early target but once she was saved by Caleb things got easier, and she eventually went on to become a significant player that will be remembered for making several "big moves". Tina started strong in a powerful alliance, but the merge sent her game spinning out of control. It was impressive to see her make her way back into the game for the final challenge.

Listen to this interview to hear their final verdict on Monica, how they think it would have played out if either of them had made it to final three, why they voted for Tyson and lots more!

SFP Interview: Hayden Moss and Laura Morett from Survivor Blood vs. Water

Today we interviewed Hayden Moss and Laura Morett. They left the game in the final episode of Survivor Blood vs. Water. Hayden will be remembered not only as the Big Brother winner that crossed over but for being the catalyst behind the second rock pull in Survivor history. LauraM will be remembered as the RI challenge beast that destroyed her competition.

Listen to this interview to hear how Laura felt about being the RI assassin, how they both dealt with the final loss, why they voted for Tyson and lots more!

Blood vs. Water Episode 13 LF

The consensus heading into the finale is that Tyson is still the hands down favorite to win, but it is certainly not a given. LauraM has a contingent of fans anxiously expecting her return from RI and possibly, inadvertently, knocking Ciera out of the running unless Monica joins them for an all women alliance. Angry Gervase seems least likely to win out of the seven that are left. The main thing is that we are all excited to see how it plays out at the finale. It has been a good season and we really want to see it go out with a bang!

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Fourteen fans shared their thoughts on episode 13 and predictions for what we can expect in the finale.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Sandi, Alex, Nina, Kenny, BostonMark, BrandonA, Mikko, Drew, Rashmi, Sean, Josh, Michael, Jeremiah and Paul.

SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 13 of Survivor Blood vs. Water

This week we interviewed Katie Collins. She left the game in episode 13 of Survivor Blood vs. Water. She was a target to be voted out since day 3 and miraculously bobbed and weaved her way to day 33 before a bit of bad luck at RI finally sent her packing. She will always be remembered as "little Katie no-nails" to us.

Listen to this interview to hear how she first heard about the opportunity to be on Survivor, the story behind WHY she believed Ciera had found the idol, how she'll decide her jury vote and lots more!

Blood vs. Water Episode 13

It was certainly worth a try. We love it when the castaways give it everything they have to try to stay in the game. Hayden and Ciera appeared to even have a viable plan given Monica's constant need for reassurance. Their approach carried significant risk. The accusations of disrespect were flying at Tribal Council. It got under Gervase's skin. He lost control, again, at Tribal Council. In the end, Monica made her choice and the returnees maintained control. There will be a real threat for LauraM at RI for the final challenge.

What would be the most surprising final three? What would be the most difficult final three to choose between? Who is the least deserving to win? Who is most likely to return from RI? Who is your choice to win it all?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 13.
Kasama: Ciera, Gervase, Monica, and Tyson.
Redemption Island:Hayden, LauraM, and Tina
