SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 3 of Survivor Caramoan

This week we interviewed Hope Driskill. She left the game in episode 3 of Survivor Caramoan. Hope chose a day one, minority alliance with smooth talker Eddie and the other "cool kids" with a plan to bring strong players together to win challenges. Unfortunately, she could not overcome her desire to vote out Shamar even when he was the one throwing her a lifeline at the end.

Listen to this interview to hear her thoughts on the other ladies in her tribe, who she thought was the secret weapon in her alliance, how she leveraged one tribemate's paranoia to try to save herself and lots more!

Caramoan Episode 3

Let it be noted, the alliance that many fans predicted between Corrine and Malcolm occurred on day 6. The only other person to find an idol with Malcolm won the game. Do you think history will repeat itself? Andrea is hard at work with plans to eliminate all her female competition. Meanwhile on the Fans tribe, Sherri is staying busy trying to manage and manipulate Shamar into not quitting. Luckily for her, she has "lots of experience dealing with snotty teen aged brats". She appeared to wrangle him around without even breaking a sweat.

How do you think the discovery of the OPII, Obviously Placed Immunity Idol, will affect the Malcolm and Corrine alliance? Is Corrine now next on the hit list in the Favs tribe? Who would you choose to keep on the Fans tribe, Reynold or Shamar? When is the right time to dump someone that only helps win challenges? How long could you tolerate someone that makes camp life miserable? What's your guess for when we should expect to see a tribe shuffle?

Here are the tribes after episode 3.
Bikal:Andrea, Brandon, Brenda, Cochran, Corinne, Dawn, Erik, Malcolm and Phillip
Gota:Eddie, Julia, Laura, Matt, Michael, Reynold, Shamar and Sherri

Caramoan Episode 2 LF

Another good episode bodes well for the season and had many of you weighing in with resounding support. The editors suggested with the music in the first episode that "crazy" was going to be a theme, and this episode continued to deliver on that front. There was lots of irrational bevavior and acting out that caught your attention. The overall consensus was that Dawn really stumbled in trying to engage Brandon, which also ended up in winning him some surprising support from the hardcore, strategic super fans. For the Gota tribe, Shamar was the stand out attention getter. Many of you highlighted Sherri's performance and most have no hope for Hope. No one appeared to lament the loss of Allie.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty fans shared their thoughts on episode 2 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: EvilJohn, Trey, Sandi, BrandonB, Samantha, JohnnyMac, Katie, Casey, Lil' Russ, Shelley, DrewG, Mario, Nicki, Michael, Jody, BrandonJ, Jen, Brian, Rhonda, and Paul.

SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 2 of Survivor Caramoan

This week we interviewed Alexandra "Allie" Pohevitz. She left the game in episode 2 of Survivor Caramoan. Unfortunately, being a fan appears to be no insurance against falling prey to fatal, classic mistakes once the game begins. Allie appeared to commit some well known Survivor sins from day 1 which included backing a minority alliance and being party to some serious cuddle groping on the first night which signaled to others that she was already part of a potentially tight, dangerous alliance.

Listen to this interview to hear her description of each of her tribemates, who they thought had joined the alliance of four, why Reynold didn't use his HII to protect her and lots more!

Caramoan Episode 2

They may have skipped the HII quest in episode one, but it was certainly back in for episode 2. The producers appear to have reverted to the simplistic hiding strategy they used in Samoa. If a castaway spends that little time and effort and finds it, was it really hidden to begin with? Both tribes have their burdens to bear, but the fans may actually have it worse than the favs at this point. At least Phillip is not screaming at anyone yet and works hard around camp even if it is just thinking up clever names for everyone in his alliance.

How do you think the discovery and production of the HII will affect the Fans alliance of 6? Will it be enough to sway Michael and Matt back to the cool kids? Who is your next pick to be voted off the Favs tribe? When is the right time to dump someone that only helps win challenges but otherwise makes camp life miserable?

Here are the tribes after episode 2.
Bikal:Andrea, Brandon, Brenda, Cochran, Corinne, Dawn, Erik, Malcolm and Phillip
Gota:Eddie, Hope, Julia, Laura, Matt, Michael, Reynold, Shamar and Sherri

Caramoan Episode 1 LF

The overall consensus was that this was a good solid, first episode for the season. Now it is time to see how you did with your JABBIC predictions and weigh in on what you think of the cast now that we finally got to see them in action. The math challenged, high school/cool kids alliance caught everyone's attention. Many expressed surprise at how much they enjoyed Phillip or at least how little they were annoyed by him. Cochran got many votes of support. Several castaways were highlighted for their performance and thankfully, we all really enjoyed the episode.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 1 of Survivor Caramoan

This week we interviewed Francesca Hogi. She left the game in episode 1 of Survivor Caramoan. In spite of all the potential she had to offer to the game, she made Survivor history by being voted out first in both of her appearances and also as a castaway who has never seen herself on the show.

Listen to this interview to hear how the pairs were chosen for the reward challenge, what trophy she took from a fan, who caused the Favs to fall behind in the immunity challenge and lots more!

Caramoan Episode 1

Survivor's back for it's 26th season, and we think it's off to a great start. We're big fans of extended episodes and wish every one was two hours long, but we were certainly happy to get 90 minutes to kick things off! We actually heard from all 20 castaways. In another rare turn of events, we did not see anyone out searching for the HII. The Favs did great to dominate the first challenge, but the Fans got fire with a jumbo version of the bamboo fire saw that was almost equally impressive. Francesca made history but not in a way that she will ever be proud of.

What did you think about how the returning players and new castaways did? Who surprised you the most? Did your impressions of anyone change after you got to see them in action in this first episode? Do you think the "popular kids" alliance will take control of the Fans? Will Brenda, Brandon, and Erik be the next ones booted from the Favs tribe?

Here are the tribes after episode 1.
Bikal:Andrea, Brandon, Brenda, Cochran, Corinne, Dawn, Erik, Malcolm and Phillip
Gota:Allie, Eddie, Hope, Julia, Laura, Matt, Michael, Reynold, Shamar and Sherri

Caramoan JABBIC Part 2

It's only four days till the first episode of Survivor Caramoan airs. It can be challenging to recognize the new castaways at the beginning of the season, but we've got an answer for that to enhance your Survivor viewing experience. It's called the JABBIC, "Judge A Book By Its Cover", shows. We get started before the first episode airs and record our early thoughts on this new group of "fans" as well as the returning "Favorites, Misfits, Flunkies/Oddballs" and make predictions about the degree of success they will experience in the game. Through this process, we find that at least a few of them will stand out from the beginning and it greatly improves the odds of recognizing your early favorites.

This is Part 2 of our "Judge a Book by its Cover" show. Twenty fans, just like you, recorded their perspective on the new cast including their choice of favorites, who's most likely to get voted out first, make the merge, have a shot at the final tribal council as well as who has what it takes to win it all.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great JABBIC show. This week we heard from: Rhonda, Samantha, Lil' Russ, BrandonA, Tyler, Aaron, MikeK, Jen, EMP, DrewG, Eric, Mikeybear, Robert, KathyS, BrandonB, Michael, Jeremiah, Brian, Jody, and Paul.

JSFL registration is open! If you would like to join in the fun, click on this link: JSFL Registration and get your picks in before the first episode airs. You'll have to decide who you think will win it all, who will be voted out first, and four castaways that will be safe from the first tribal council. Reminder: you have to listen to the podcast to hear the Listener Reward Bonus questions.

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com.
