Survivor Heroes vs. Villains Finale LF

It's bittersweet, but it's that time again. We gather together one last time to share our thoughts about the finale, the reunion show and the season as it compares to all the others. As always, there are a range of views to share and contemplate.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Forty three fans shared their thoughts on the finale, favorite players and the season as a whole.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to our final Listener Feedback show this season. This week we heard from: Justin, Tammy, Jason, Samantha, Clare, John, Griffin, Unknown, Kelly, Tim, Kathy, Pete, AdamK, Christy, Rashmi, Julie, DrewG, Shelley, Tanwen, SJ, Jennifer, Ed, Carolyn, Michelle, Randy, Sandi, Zachary, Iron Dave, Chris, Jimmy, Lil Russ, Jeremiah, Steve, AnneMarie, Shane, Eric, Jen, Ian, Snowman, Graham, Merek, Mikeybear and Marina.

We will be on break until season 21, Survivor Nicaragua, returns in September, but we always enjoy chatting about our favorite show. We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. SFP Interview: Sandra Diaz-Twine from Survivor Heroes vs. Villains

The opportunity to interview the final three together didn't happen as planned, but Jo Ann did get a chance to speak with the winner, Sandra Diaz-Twine. Sandra surprised and delighted many fans by snatching the win out from under Parvati and Russell, two of the games most dominant, powerful players.

Listen to this interview to find out why she did get emotional at the final Tribal Council, her formula for a winning strategy, which other Survivor Queen she wants to face off against next and much more!

SFP Interview: Jerri Manthey from Survivor Heroes vs. Villains

We interviewed Jerri Manthey today. She left the game in the final episode of Survivor Heroes vs. Villains in 4th place. Out of all the returning Survivors this season, Jerri easily qualifies for having the rockiest past experience with the game. She came away from the Outback as a hated villain. She was booed off the stage at the finale from All Stars. Jerri's success this season means that she was one of the few that found true redemption.

Listen to this interview to find out why she thought that not knowing many of this season's players worked to her advantage, how she views her connection with Coach going forward, why she felt Russell had no chance to win and much more!

SFP Interview: Colby Donaldson from Survivor Heroes vs. Villains

We interviewed Colby Donaldson today. He left the game in the final episode of Survivor Heroes vs. Villains in 5th place. Colby came into this season with a reputation as one of the strongest alpha males to ever play the game. He was immediately confronted with the fact that he would not be able to reprise that role. He struggled at first and found himself on the short side of the controlling alliance but eventually found a way to turn his weakness into a strength that ensured that he was the last hero standing.

Listen to this interview to find out how he felt about his performance in challenges and how it forced him to change his strategy, what Sandra said to win his vote, what medical problems he faced after he returned and much more!

Heroes vs. Villains Finale

We really enjoyed the finale. It seemed to fly by, and that was an amazing, close finish on the last immunity challenge. It was exactly what you hope for at that point in the game. Once again, Russell managed to win the last crucial immunity challenge and ensure he would have a shot at the $1M prize. If you are a Russell fan you probably are not very happy with the final result though. Who had the best and worst jury questions? Do you think this jury voted emotionally, or did they truly reward the best player? Were you surprised by the result? How big a factor was luck for the final 3? Who do you think played the better game from the perspective of the viewer? Do you agree with Russell? Should the audience help choose the winner? Do you agree with Sandra? Is she the best player of all time?

Congratulations to Justin from Rochester, winner of the Survivor Heroes vs. Villains JSFL!

Justin and Brendan were tied for fourth going into the finale. Justin avoided a tie because Brendan didn't have any safe points left for Jerri or Sandra. We want to thank everyone that participated and help make it fun again this season and especially Steve who made it all possible.

Join us to wrap up the season with the final Listener Feedback show. Your final thoughts are due by 5pm PDT on Thursday, May 20th. SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 13 of Heroes vs. Villains

This week we interviewed Rupert Boneham. He left the game in episode 13 of Survivor Heroes vs. Villains. Rupert struggled to recover from injuries early in the game and to find his role in a tribe full of heroes. By the end though, he showed that he was more than capable to strategize with the best of them even if he could not overcome the overwhelming odds against him.

Listen to this interview to find out how his multiple injuries affected him in the game, who really clued him into the split vote for Candice that saved him, how he viewed his alliance with Russell and much more!

Heroes vs. Villains Episode 13

Rupert did not seem to hesitate to align with Russell. Do you think he might only play the hero when it is convenient for him? How will Jerri fair in the end game? Can you see any scenario where she or Colby could win? If Russell faced off with Colby for the final and lost, would it be justified? Do you think Parvati's concern about not taking any heroes to the final tribal council is valid?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 13.
Yin Yang Colby, Jerri, Parvati, Russell, and Sandra

Jo Ann thinks Colby will go next. Stacy thinks it will be Parvati. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out? Who do you think will win it all?

Heroes vs. Villains Episode 12 LF

A lot of you believe that Russell sealed his fate in this episode. The attacks on Rupert and Danielle were indications that he still has not mastered the art of winning the jury. Others saw it as nothing more than further evidence of his dominance in the game. The contrasting views are abundant. Several of you asked if maybe Colby is actually playing smart and under the radar even offering evidence of this fact when most of us are willing to write him off for continually disappointing us. That is exactly why we offer the LF feedback show, so we can all benefit from different perspectives and sometimes gain validation for our theories about what has happened and what we can expect next through the eyes of others!

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Thirty one fans shared their thoughts on episode 12 and predictions for what we'll see next.

SFP Interview: Castoffs from Episode 12 of Heroes vs. Villains

This week we interviewed Candice Woodcock and Danielle DiLorenzo. They both left the game in episode 12 of Survivor Heroes vs. Villains. Candice never found her way into a tight alliance, but kept fighting to save herself to the end. Danielle appeared to be in a rock solid alliance with a great chance to make final 3 until she cracked under pressure in a critical face off with Russell.

Listen to this interview to find out how being less familiar to the others effected them in the game, who told Colby about the split vote for Rupert and Candice, why they both dropped out of an immunity challenge together for food and much more!

Heroes vs. Villains Episode 12

Interesting. Jerri decides that anyone who betray's their original alliance as quickly as Candice doesn't deserve to stay in the game. Do you think she forgot about her own betrayal of Courtney and Sandra so quickly? What did you think about Rupert's ploy to deceive the Villains with a lie about the HII? There's only a few days left in the game. How and when do you think Sandra will choose to use her HII? Do you think Russell was too rough on Danielle at Tribal Council when he made her cry? Will Russell's success in ousting her help him in the long run? Who do you think made the boldest moves this episode: Rupert, Jerri, Sandra, or Russell? How well does Russell score on the Top 10 Secrets of Effective Liars list at Psychology Today?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 12.
Yin Yang Colby, Jerri, Parvati, Rupert, Russell, and Sandra

Stacy thinks they will turn on Russell next. Jo Ann agrees for now. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?
