Calling all Survivor Fans!

We're getting ready for the kickoff of the 17th season of Survivor. This marks our 8th season of podcasting about Survivor, what we refer to as one of our life's simple pleasures. Basically, we enjoy watching Survivor and talking about it with our friends, and we begin each season with our "Judge a Book by its Cover" show.

We want to hear what you think about the 18 new contestants for Survivor Gabon.
Study the pictures at cbs.com, read their bios, watch the videos and let us know how well you think they will do this season. We want to hear your gut reaction. Don't think to long about it, just go with your first instinct.

Who's your pick for the first one voted out?
Go out on a limb, and tell us who you think will win it all.
Which ones do you think will make the merge and who just doesn't stand a chance?

Send your impressions to us by noon PST on Saturday, September 13, and we'll include them in the show for everyone to hear.

Ah, the bittersweet end of another Survivor season. There's still lots to talk about though as we wind down from another great season of one of our favorite shows.

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on this season, what you enjoyed the most, do you prefer a final 2 or final 3, what was Natalie talking about in the last TC, how does this season rate for you compared to the previous 15, and how exactly did Parvati pull that off? NYC Trip for Survivor Micronesia Finale

We wanted to provide an update on our trip to cover the finale, but first up please note that we're moving the final Listener Feedback show for Survivor Micronesia to Saturday the 17th. Wow, a third person leaves this season without being voted out. Not sure if James actually had any game left in him, but it's hard to see him go out that way.

So, does this mean that Parvati is loyal to Amanda, or just really lucky at aligning with the person in power? Why doesn't anyone think to target Cirie? Erik just won his second immunity challenge in a row. Are you still convinced that we'll have a female final four?

Micronesia Episode 11

Jason really is a winner if you grade him against his primary objective in the game. He wanted to prove that he could beat Ozzy, and he certainly demonstrated that he could exceed him even when it came to making blunders.

Is Natalie getting a winner or villain's edit? Will we see James go out on a medical leave? Which alliance do you believe Parvati is really loyal to? Does it matter at this point? Can you think of any other alliance from past seasons that appeared this dominant and confident in their plans? Do you think they can really hold it together for 6 more days?

Let's call this episode "Eliza Strikes Back"! Cirie certainly seemed to pay attention to what she said and then acted on it to get rid of her next biggest threat.

Do you think Parvati made the best long term choice for herself? If Eliza, Ozzy, James, and Amanda all end up in the jury, can you see her getting their votes? Who do you think has the best chance to make final 3 three now? Amanda appears to have dropped even further out of the running. Her only remaining ally is James given that Parvati and Cirie shut her out of their plans. Can you see anyway she could fight her way back in? What are the chances that a guy can make final 4?

Yes! We finally get to see the Hidden Immunity Idol played. It just wasn't played by the person we expected or with quite the conviction we were hoping for. What a surprise to find out that Eric had enough of a sense of humor and wit to pull one over on the whole tribe.

Anyone else think we just watched Amanda get replaced by Alexis? Which of those two do you think will be voted out first? Did Ozzy's loss to Jason help take some of the focus off of him as the leader and prime target? Do you think Parvati's multiple alliance commitments will get her into trouble? Could it cost her the game? Do you think Ozzy would ever give the HII away to someone when he had won individual immunity?

The producers appear to have found a way to avoid those awkward unpopular double elimination episodes. They just make sure to stack the tribes with people who can't hack it. Would you have ever thought that we would see a worse quitter than Osten from Pearl Islands? It's easy to think given the multitude of recruits in past seasons that it might happen, but who would have guessed that we would be subjected to one on a season of supposed "Super Fans"?

Unfortunately, we're faced with another quitter this week. What were your thoughts on how Kathy left? What did you think of Ozzy's performance this week? How about Cirie? What better way to celebrate reaching our 200th episode than to get feedback from 25 die hard Survivor fans!

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode and predictions for what we can expect next. Sounds like Joel won some of you over in his interview. We didn't believe everything he was selling, but most of us did believe he was a genuine fan of the show. As a group, we're still very polarized for and against specific Survivors that are still in the game.
