Survivor Fans Podcast
Jo Ann and Stacy follow the hit reality show Survivor.

The hits just keep coming with this season which means lots to talk about for episode 10. Several folks think someone from Galu still has a shot at making the final three. There is much debate around who might be next to go, and everyone seemed to be happy to see Laura leave although the interview lead some to believe she got a raw deal on the edit.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty three just like you shared their thoughts on episode 10 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another excellent LF show. This week we heard from: Rashmi, Brian, Adam, John, Jen, Steve, Christy, Snowman, Pamela, Shoey, Drew G, Damien, Samantha, Jaimes, Sandi, Matt, Doug, Shelley, Ian, Scott, Mike K,  Deedee, and Chris.

Even when they make a point of tracking Russell, he outwits them and finds another Hidden Immunity Idol! He has without a doubt earned a place in Survivor history and we are only at episode 10 for this season.

Why do you think old Danger Dave was so willing to leave his future in the game and making it to the finals to chance? Now that Laura's gone, who should Foa Foa focus on next? Do you think anyone from Galu besides Shambo stands a chance of making it to the final four now?

Here is the tribe after the tenth episode:
Aiga: Brett, Dave, Jaison, John, Mick, Monica, Natalie, Russell H, Shambo

Jo Ann thinks Brett will be the next victim from Galu to join the jury. Stacy thinks they will all wise up and focus on taking out Russell. Who do you think will be voted out next?

As veteran Survivor fans we all know by now the importance and influence that the editing can have on the show. So, it is only natural when we experience such a great episode to question what deeper clues we might be able to extract: who might be getting a winner's edit, who has almost no story at all at this point, why are we being prompted to dislike certain characters so much over others?

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty nine just like you shared their thoughts on episode 9 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another excellent LF show. This week we heard from: Brian, Christy, Carol, John, Samantha, Borneo Bum, Merek, Ted, Tammy, Rashmi, Paul, Shelley, Tony, Anne, Tim, Michael, Doug, Deedee, Chris, Deanna Beth, Ian, Kathy, Drew G, Becca, Drew T, Griffin, Lynda, Mike K and Shane.

We did not expect they could top the last episode, but this one seems to have succeeded. From a pure gameplay perspective, Russell is heads and shoulders above his Aiga tribemates.

Russell found a way to survive another week and take the Galu tribe down another notch. Do you think he stands a chance against Laura? Are they making it too easy to find the Hidden Immunity Idols? Is it possible that we might have underestimated Shambo when it comes to strategic gameplay? Will Russell be able to throw them off his tracks as he searches for his third HII? Are you impressed with Laura's ability to win two individual immunities in a row? Would you be happy if she won at this point?

Here is the tribe after the ninth episode:
Aiga: Brett, Dave, Jaison, John, Laura, Mick, Monica, Natalie, Russell H, Shambo

We both are betting that Galu's losing streak will continue, and Laura will be the next to leave. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Episode eight got many votes as the best so far this season, and you certainly had a lot to say about it. Jaison got kudos for stepping up when his back was to the wall, consensus was that Shambo, who also doesn't present a threat at this point, stands to go deep, and no one seems to believe that Evil Russell will be next to go.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty five fans just like you shared their thoughts on episode 8 and predictions for what we'll see next.

Wow, that has to be one of the best, most action packed merge episodes we have seen in a long time. We really enjoyed watching all the scheming and scrambling for position with multiple twists and a super blindside vote out thrown in for good measure.

Will Galu proceed to self destruct? Can you see any way for the the Foa Foa underdogs to rally? How do you think Laura and John faired in this episode? Could Jaison go far now that everyone agrees he is no threat? Do you think the reign of Evil Russell is finally over? Who do you think is the biggest threat to win?

Here is the new merged tribe after the eighth episode:
Aiga: Brett, Dave, Jaison, John, Kelly, Laura, Mick, Monica, Natalie, Russell H, Shambo

Jo Ann thinks Laura will be the next to leave. Stacy thinks Russell's time is up. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Here are some themes that emerged from this week's Feedback: Danger Dave's downfall, the snookering of Shambo, the imminent self destruction of Galu, the slow death of Foa Foa, and oh yeah, let's throw in some references to Pirate Master for good measure.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. What does it mean when the rational mind of a doctor starts grasping at superstitious reasons to explain his tribe's string of losses? Was that somehow another reference to Russell Swan? As in, the chief necklace knocked Russell out of the game, and it's responsible for us always losing too! Yeah, that must be the answer.

Jeff called out Foa Foa as one of the worst tribes in Survivor history. Do you think there is any chance they will survive after the merge? Are there any weaknesses in the plan that the men from Galu put in action this week? Do you think Laura really bonded with evil Russell? With the merge coming, will Shambo choose to flip and join her friends at Foa Foa right away, or will she stick close to her new Galu buddies?

Here are tribes after the seventh episode:
Galu: Brett, Dave, Erik, John, Kelly, Laura, Monica, Shannon
Foa Foa: Jaison, Mick, Natalie, Russell H

Jo Ann thinks Dave will be the next to leave. Stacy thinks Galu will hold it together long enough to take out a couple more from Foa Foa, and that means that Jaison will be next. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Feedback on episode 6 was definitely split. Some liked it and others found it anti-climatic. As we say so often here, the beauty of the LF show is in the differences we observe as we share what we each saw in the episode. This trend of giving away too much information in the commercials is a bit concerning though.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty six fans just like you shared their thoughts on episode 6 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to a great LF show. This week we heard from: Brian, Samantha, John, Christy, Becca, MikeyBear, Deanna Beth, Doug, Fancy, Griffin, Drew G, Carolyn, Graham, Ted, Jeremiah, Tammy, Paul, Damien, Drew T, Sandi, Ian, Adam, Mike K, Lynda, Chris and Kimberly.

Griffin from Vancouver used a phrase in his feedback this week that fit perfect with a picture that Dan sent us a few weeks ago.
Don't mess with Russell the Gnome

This week we interviewed Russell Swan. He left the game in episode 6 of Survivor Samoa. Russell had expressed concern about what happens to leaders on Survivor in his intro videos, and unfortunately or perhaps prophetically that exact fate appeared to be his undoing.

Listen to this interview to find out how he and his family reacted to seeing his illness on TV, how he's doing now, his assessment of the Galu tribe and lots more!

We never like to see someone go out on a medical, but it seemed a bit unbalanced to hear Jeff describe that as the scariest moment in Survivor history. How do you think it compared to Michael Skupin passing out and falling face first into a fire back in season 2 and burning all the skin off his hands?

Do you think Foa Foa can take advantage of this shift in momentum? Who do you think Galu will elect as their new chief? Will Shambo finally find a home in Galu, or will she defect to Foa Foa the first chance she gets?

Here are tribes after the sixth episode:
Galu: Brett, Dave, Erik, John, Kelly, Laura, Monica, Shannon
Foa Foa: Jaison, Liz, Mick, Natalie, Russell H

We both think that the momentum will shift back to Foa Foa and believe that Monica will be next to go from Galu. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Episode 5 brought a new twist to tribal council and prompted some common themes in the Listener Feedback. Several people called out a possible dark side to Laura and really had trouble with how Galu is treating Shambo or Shambles as Graham calls her. As expected, there are lots of predictions on the medical evacuation in episode 6 and the potential impact on the game.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty seven fans just like you shared their thoughts on episode 4 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to a great LF show. This week we heard from: Shane, Charrisa, Griffin, DrewT and Kelsey, Sandi, Rashmi, John, Fancy, Maureen, Ian, Tammy, Lynda, DrewG, Christy, Maria, Paul, Samantha, Shelley, Graham, Susan, Doug, Carolyn, Chris, Becca, MikeK, Tim and Kimberly.

This week we interviewed Ashley Trainer. She left the game in episode 5 of Survivor Samoa. Ashley had been on the chopping block several times before but this time her cheery disposition just wasn't enought to save her.

Listen to this interview to find out what show she really wanted to be on, why she spoiled the secret of the fake immunity idol, how she felt about the things Russell said about her and lots more!

So much for a Foa Foa winning streak. The immunity challenge never even looked like it was close. They have now lost half their tribe. Do you think anyone from Foa Foa could still have a shot at winning this one?

Who do you think will be next to go from Galu if they lose another immunity? Shambo seems to go out of her way to make herself an easy choice. Danger Dave appears to have trouble getting out of his own way too. Do you think good Russell might ever be at risk? Who do you think is in danger of leaving on a medical in episode 6?

Here are tribes after the fifth episode:
Galu: Brett, Dave, Erik, John, Kelly, Laura, Monica, Shannon, Russell S
Foa Foa: Jaison, Liz, Mick, Natalie, Russell H

Jo Ann thinks Shambo will finally be voted out. Stacy thinks that Liz made a fatal error and will be next to go. Who do you think will be voted out next?

There is more great discussion of episode 4 this week as several ask about what happened to the idea of sending a spy to the losing tribe's camp, how did good Russell become deluded with power so quickly, why wasn't Shambo even considered for elimination over meak Monica, and many share their thoughts on the Probst-less reward challenge.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Finally, Foa Foa wins! They had to lose 4 members before they could finally gel as a tribe.

Who would you have chosen to vote out in Galu? Do you think Shambo will be more loyal to the tribe than Yasmin? It looked like John might have seen Eric looking for the idol. Do you think he knows Eric found it? Who do you think is really calling the shots in Galu? What are the odds on Jaison quitting? Do you think Liz stands a chance after crossing evil Russell if they lose?

Here are tribes after the third episode:
Galu: Brett, Dave, Erik, John, Kelly, Laura, Monica, Shannon, Russell S
Foa Foa: Ashley, Jaison, Liz, Mick, Natalie, Russell H

We're both thinking that Galu will end up back at Tribal Council next week. Our pick to go is Shambo. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Surprise, Jaison got his way! Do you think evil Russell might be losing control of Foa Foa? What do you think is most beneficial to Russell's strategy: keeping Ben or Jaison?

Does Foa Foa have a chance or are they destined to repeat the fate of Survivor Palau's Ulong long tribe and lose every immunity challenge? What did you think of good Russell's choice to go with the comfort reward? Did Shambo try too hard to win over Foa Foa?

Here are tribes after the third episode:
Galu: Brett, Dave, Erik, John, Kelly, Laura, Monica, Shannon, Russell S, Yasmin
Foa Foa: Ashley, Jaison, Liz, Mick, Natalie, Russell H

Jo Ann thinks Foa Foa will lose immunity again and Ashley will finally be next to go. Stacy thinks that Foa Foa will rally now that Ben is gone, and Galu will choose to get rid of oddball Shambo. Who do you think will be voted out next?

There were several themes in the feedback for episode 2. Did good Russell actually have an ulterior motive for sending Yasmin to Foa Foa? Did your view of evil Russell change at all? Wow! That was an action packed episode even though there was only one challenge. Did you think we would get a double elimination this early in the season?

Who's the bigger villain now: Ben or Russell H? What did you think about how they both handled themselves in this episode? Who would you want to get rid of first on Galu: Shambo or Yasmin? Do you think Jaison will be able to gain control of Foa Foa?

Here are tribes after the second episode:
Galu: Brett, Dave, Erik, John, Kelly, Laura, Monica, Shannon, Russell S, Yasmin
Foa Foa: Ashley, Ben, Jaison, Liz, Mick, Natalie, Russell H

Jo Ann thinks Foa Foa will lose immunity again and Ashley will be next to go. Stacy thinks that Galu will lose next week and Shambo leaves. Who do you think will be voted out next?

The first episode of Survivor Samoa is behind us, and it's time to see what you thought about it. There were definitely some contrasting views in the mix. Did your "first impressions" change or were you surprised at how accurate they were?

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty four fans just like you shared their thoughts on episode 1 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to a great LF show. This week we heard from: John, Windy-Ty-guy-and-Erica, Shelley, Mikeybear, Ste, Ted, Samantha, Doug, Liz, Ian, Clifton, Jaimes, Drew, Taz, Susan, Tim, Paul, Kathy, MikeK, Carolyn, Drew, Mike, Chris and Kimberly.

It's great to have Survivor back, and Samoa is gorgeous in HD.

We really enjoyed the first episode. It seemed to have a good balance of social interaction and challenge action.

What do you think of Russell H's grand plan? Will it be effective in the long run? Who surprised you the most? How did your first impressions change?

Here are tribes after the first episode:
Galu: Brett, Dave, Erik, John, Kelly, Laura, Monica, Shannon, Russell S, Yasmin
Foa Foa: Ashley, Ben, Betsy, Jaison, Liz, Mick, Mike, Natalie, Russell H

Jo Ann thinks Foa Foa will lose immunity again and Mike will be next to go. Stacy predicts a flip flop with Galu losing next week and Yasmin leaves. Who do you think will be voted out next?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. This is Part I of our "Judge a Book by its Cover" show for Samoa. We've recorded our perspective on each new castaway including how well we think they'll do in the overall game as well as some extra details revealed in the TV Guide preview.

Now it is your turn. We want to hear what you think about the 20 new contestants for Survivor Samoa.

Here are tribes before the first episode:
Galu: Brett, Dave, Erik, John, Kelly, Laura, Monica, Shannon, Russell S, Yasmin
Foa Foa: Ashley, Ben Betsy, Jaison, Liz, Marissa, Mick, Mike, Natalie, Russell H

Who's your pick for the two will that get picked to be the tribe leaders, strongest, best swimmer, most agile and smartest?
Go out on a limb, and tell us who you think will win it all.
Which ones do you think will make the merge and who just doesn't stand a chance?

Send your impressions to us by 5pm PST on Thursday, September 10th, and we'll include them in Part II of the JABBIC show for everyone to hear.

We've got several ways you can share your thoughts about the new castaways with everyone. You can call and leave a voicemail at our new number: 206-350-1547. Today we interviewed Stephen Fishbach. He was runner up for Survivor Tocantins. He was described early on as "the nerdy, shy guy who helps everyone". He parlayed that unassuming image into one of the greatest, powerhouse buddy alliances in Survivor history proving without a doubt that you can't always go on first impressions.

Listen to this interview to find out how he felt after receiving no jury votes, why he came dangerously close to be being medically evacuated, his strategy for immunity challenges as well as the Hidden Immunity Idol and much more!

Today we interviewed Erinn Lobdell. She left the game in 3rd place during the finale of Survivor Tocantins. Erinn was marked for elimination by her tribemates in the 2nd episode, and she outplayed, outwitted, and outlasted every single one of them. Her pragmatic approach to the game and her great sense of humor made her a delight to watch and a favorite of many.

Listen to this interview to find out how she was chosen for the show, why she's so good at puzzles, how she planned to handle JT or Stephen in a final Tribal Council and much more!

Today we interviewed Taj Johnson-George. She left the game in 4th place during the finale of Survivor Tocantins. Taj surprised herself and most everyone else with how well she did in the game. Her confessionals and reaction shots during Tribal Council provided some of the best comedic moments of the season, and demonstrated that she was also a shrewd strategist.

Listen to this interview to find out how she was chosen for the show, if she has worked through her hurt feelings toward JT and Stephen, her plans for the HII she never played and much more!

For only the 2nd time in Survivor history we had a unanimous vote for the winner. Were you as surprised as we were by that? Did you agree with the decision to get rid of Taj in 4th? Would it really have been a no brainer to take Erinn to the end too?

Congratulations to Debbie A, winner of the Survivor Tocantins JSFL!

She jumped from an 8 way tie for 12th to the #1 spot by not only guessing the final four order correctly but also picking JT as her original USB before the first episode ever aired and sticking with him till the end.

We'll record the final Listener Feedback show for Survivor Tocantins on Thursday, May 21st at 5pm. We would love to hear your take on the finale, the reunioun show, and the season as a whole. Does Survivor Tocantins make your top 10 list?

Ah, the episode many of us have waited for has finally arrived. Was it what you hoped for? Do you think his exit was noble and in keeping with how he said he'd "change the game"? Did you buy the stories about asthma and ruptured discs?

Stephen did not vote with JT. Do you think they really will make final 2 together? Who would JT pick if he wins the final immunity if not Stephen? Does Erinn really have a chance if she doesn't win the next two immunity challenges?

Here is the merged tribe after the thirteenth episode:
Forza: Erinn, JT, Stephen, Taj

We both still think Stephen is in a good position to win. Who do you think will be the sole survivor?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.

Reminder: JSFL picks for the finale will be due on Saturday, May 16th at 1pm Pacific time. If you have a question about JSFL, send an email to jsfl.admin@gmail.com to let us know, and we'll do our best to get you an answer. Not sure what the JSFL is? The Coach Song
I know I'm the greatest player I have ever seen.
I'm coach McBoast of Survivor Tocantins

I know my talents may seem so unreal
Even I confuse myself with the man of steel

I'm the most desirable of all the guys
I can even vote off people with just my eyes

My strategies are so dangerous
Cause I'm the only one with death defying life experience

The coach persona is really just a sham
I just pretend to be the renaissance man

If they find out I'm all boast and no bite
They're gonna send me off to Exile tonight

I don't want to prove myself
Oh what a fright
They're gonna send me off to Exile tonight

We were pretty evenly split on this last episode. Half of us liked it and about half didn't. The same can be said for our response to the way the family visit works now. Some of us long for the days when it really added some drama because not everyone got a visit. The other half really enjoys getting to see all the family members and how the castaways react to them. The one thing we all seemed to agree on though is our reaction to coach/ex-coach/roach/hoax/himself/Gilderoy/topper.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty four fans who love to talk about Survivor called, wrote or recorded their thoughts for us this week on episode 12 and as well as their predictions for what we'll see in the next episode.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to a great LF show. This week we heard from: Windy, Brian, Joel, John, Samantha, Henry, Doug, Christy, Julie, Drew G, Sandi, Shelley, Shane, Heather, Kathy, Paul, Lynda, Dan, Drew T, Marina, Chris, Ian, Tammy, and MikeK.

Need to contact us? We've got several ways you can reach out with a question or comment. You can call and leave a voicemail at: 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. This week we interviewed Debra Beebe. She left the game in episode 12 of Survivor Tocantins. Debbie was in control for the first 10 episodes, but the game took a dark turn for her on day 30, and she was ready to leave by day 33.

Listen to this interview to find out about the extra auction items we didn't get to see, her perspective on lying in the game, if she really would have given immunity away and much more!

Some may complain that the game has become too predictable at this stage as we watch the Timbira members drop one by one. We feel that the editing has been excellent in contrast though. We are never quite sure how it is going to play out as the focus continues to swing back and forth from one potential vote out candidate to another, keeping us guessing until the final vote is counted.

Do you want to see coach in the final two? What would you tell him to calm his fears after seeing Debbie voted out? Have Stephen and JT become too confident? Would you vote to give a millionaire another million?

Here is the merged tribe after the twelth episode:
Forza: Benjamin, Erinn, JT, Stephen, Taj

We both think Coach will be next to go. Who do you think will be voted out in episode 13?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. This last episode didn't deliver at the same level as the Tyson blindside, but it certainly left a few mysteries to ponder such as what rationale prompted Erinn and Taj's odd votes, does ex-coach really believe what he's saying, and many continue to ponder the possibility of a female alliance.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Listen to this interview to find out who found the clue to the fake Immunity Idol Sierra planted, who proposed an all female alliance, who she told about the Jalapao Immunity Idol and much more!

Amazing isn't it? Jalapao came into the merge down in numbers 6 to 4 and thanks to Joe's injury almost immediately made it even worse becoming 6 vs 3. It should have been a simple task for Timbira to pick them off one by one and coast into the final Tribal Council. But, against all odds the Jalapao 3 haved more than evened the odds and appear with Erinn's allegiance to now have the advantage.

Is there a secret, all female alliance in the works? How come we see so little of Taj? Do you think Deb will really turn on coach? Does she constantly defer to him to placate him, or does she perhaps not believe she deserves to go further in the game? Stephen said Sierra was erratic and a threat in challenges, but he liked coach because he was neither of those. What happened the last time someone said they liked coach because he was predictable?

Here is the merged tribe after the eleventh episode:
Forza: Benjamin, Debra, Erinn, JT, Stephen, Taj

Jo Ann thinks Deb will be next to go. Stacy is sticking with Coach. Who do you think will be voted out in episode 12?

It's our 300th podcast and we're so glad you could join us! Thanks to that last episode, we had some great topics to discuss. The blindside of Tyson and Sierra was the subject of much delight. There was lots of alternate theories proposed for how it would play out next too. Who's really calling the shots: Erinn or Stephen, and where's Taj in all this?

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. This week we interviewed Tyson Apostol. He left the game in episode 10 of Survivor Tocantins. Tyson was this season's powerhouse physical threat, so it makes sense that they would jump at the chance to take him out the first time he didn't win individual immunity.

Listen to this interview to find out why he was drawn to form an alliance with Coach and Debra, who was really pulling the Dragonslayer's strings, the plan of attack once they reached final five and much more!

Turns out Sierra was blindsided at Tribal council after allafterall. Fans of the show recognize extreme overconfidence as a danger sign but those that aren't as familiar with this history seem doomed to suffer through it, again and again and again. Tyson certainly just became our new poster boy for gloating all the way to the jury.

Sierra was spared this time, but she doesn't appear to have endeared herself to anyone left in the game. Will she get to hang around long enough to see Coach and Deb be eliminated or will they decide that it's better for her to leave next? What do think Erinn's chances are to win it all? Has Stephen decided like Brendan that he's there to help JT win?

Here is the new merged tribe after the tenth episode:
Forza: Benjamin, Debra, Erinn, JT, Sierra, Stephen, Taj

We think Coach is up next to get the boot, after we get to see him flounder and fume out at exile for a couple of days. Who do you think will be voted out in episode 11?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. Oh yeah. You knew there would be a lot of folks that wanted to talk about the last episode. Most of us feel like we got blindsided right along with Brendan, and coach provided so much material that many of you self edited to avoid showering him with more attention. Many of you aren't buying the previews and think Sierra will not be the next to go. Several of you offered some interesting speculation about her chances, especially if she chooses to out the exile alliance and their idol.

For all our disappointment in the anticlimatic end to episode 8, this one really made up the difference and then some!

Do you think Sierra even has a chance? Will she give up hope and accept her fate or maybe find a way to outlast Coach? Do you think JT and Stephen are in control or is it really Coach and Tyson?

Here is the new merged tribe after the ninth episode:
Forza: Benjamin, Debra, Erinn, JT, Sierra, Stephen, Taj and Tyson

Assuming he doesn't win immunity again, we still both think that Tyson will be on the chopping block next. Who do you think will be voted out in episode 10?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.

Reminder: JSFL picks for the next episode will be due on Wednesday, April 22th at 1pm Pacific time. If you have a question about JSFL, send an email to jsfl.admin@gmail.com to let us know, and we'll do our best to get you an answer. Not sure what the JSFL is? We are at a very interesting juncture in the game. This weeks feedback was split on several issues such as which alliance of five has the best chance of succeeding, whether Tyson might get to keep the Individual Immunity Necklace and the significance of Coach's transformation. Do you agree with Kimberly's new theory about coach?

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty one fans who love to talk about Survivor called, wrote or recorded their thoughts for us this week on episode 8 and as well as their predictions for what we'll see in the next episode.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to a great LF show. This week we heard from: Windy, Shane, Ian , John, Sandi, Maria, Doug, Carolyn, Shelley, Drew G, Samantha, Darwin, Tim, Linda, Mikeybear, Drew T, Tammy, MikeK, Graham, Chris and Kimberly.

This week we interviewed Joe Dowdle. He left the game in episode 8 of Survivor Tocantins. Joe did well in one on one interactions, but never seemed to secure a solid position in the game before he was blindsided by a medical problem.

Listen to this interview to find out about his leg injury as well as how he is doing now, more details on the fake idol, his alliances and much more!

Episode 8 cranked the gameplay up another notch! Did you at any point during the episode find yourself admiring coach's strategy? Of the remaining players, who do you think are the top 3 threats?

Do you think the inter-tribe alliance will rally or will coach be victorious? Who's getting a "winner's edit"?

Here is the new merged tribe after the eighth episode:
Forza: Benjamin, Brendan, Debra, Erinn, JT, Sierra, Stephen, Taj and Tyson

We both think that Tyson will be on the chopping block next. Who do you think will be voted out in episode 9?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. It's Monday and we're back with a fresh round of Survivor Fan Listener Feedback. Sounds like most everyone enjoyed episode 7, but all thoughts turn towards the impending merge. What will Jalapao make of ex-coach once they have to be around him 24x7? Is Joe in danger of leaving on a medical? Will Timbira take the easy way out or will the inter-tribal alliance win out?

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. This week we interviewed Sydney Wheeler. She left the game in episode 7 of Survivor Tocantins. On the show, we were provided a relatively one dimensional view of Sydney as the "flirt to win girl". It was good to get to talk to her and find out there might have been more to her game.

Listen to this interview to find out how she was approached to be on the show, who she points the finger at for losing the challenges, how much Joe shared with her about the idol and much more!

Episode 7 gave us a look at some serious gameplay over in Jalapao. Were you impressed with Stephen's performance? Who do you think is playing the best game in Jalapao? What did you think of Taj's fake idol?

Do you think JT might be too trusting for this game? Will Taj be able to take advantage of that trust? Do you think the inter-tribe alliance will decide who leaves next?

Here are the tribes after the seventh episode:
Jalapao: Joe, JT, Stephen, and Taj
Timbira: Benjamin, Brendan, Debra, Erinn, Sierra and Tyson

The game shifts to individual immunity in the next episode. Jo Ann picked Joe to be the next to go. Stacy thinks Brendan will want to get rid of Tyson. Who do you think will be voted out in episode 8?

It's Monday and that means it is time for another great round of Survivor Fan Listener Feedback to ponder. Several theories for Taj's blow-up are offered along with speculation on Stephen's role in keeping her over Spencer. Many were sad to see Spencer, a fellow fan, leave so early, and most of us wished he had fought harder to stay. JT's little tantrum didn't go unnoticed and many are perplexed that Sydney seemed to completly fall off the chopping block after appearing to be a candidate in episode 4. Thanks to the break we'll have plenty of time to speculate on how it will all play out in episode 7.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty five fans who love to talk about Survivor called, wrote or recorded their thoughts for us this week on episode 5 as well as their predictions for what we'll see in the next episode.

This week we interviewed Spencer Duhm. He left the game in episode 5 of Survivor Tocantins. Spencer made Survivor history by being the youngest person to play the game, and as a true fan of the show he tried to make the most of each step in the process.

Listen to this interview to learn extra details about the reward challenge, how being a super fan affected his standing in the tribe, how he eventually lost the trust of his alliances and much more!

Episode 5 brings us the solidification of the "awesome foursome inter-tribe alliance" and what may be its downfall all in one fell swoop. What was your take on Stephen's reasoning? Is he committed or will he cause it to unravel?

Who's more at risk: Taj or Brendan? When you hear these two words together "Charmin Cafe", does it conjure up a positive image? Do you think Ben is guaranteed to make the merge now? There is still no talk of a tribe shake up and no one ever mentions the mutiny option. Will the tribes stay the same until the merge? Do you think Jalapao can recover?

Here are the tribes after the fifth episode:
Jalapao: Joe, JT, Stephen, Sydney and Taj
Timbira: Benjamin, Brendan, Debra, Erinn, Sierra and Tyson

We are both thinking that Jalapao will turn it around and win the the next immunity challenge. Jo Ann is standing firm with Erinn as her choice for next to go. Stacy is sure that Ben will decide that Brendan is the new cancer in the tribe. Who do you think will be voted out in episode 6?

While many of us expressed our disappointment that Sandy won't be there now to make us laugh each week, there was also some great strategic discussion in this week's Listener Feedback. Many of you pondered the potential of the inter-tribe alliance and the possibility of seeing HIIs played in episode 5. There's some great speculation on each of the remaining players, and as usual, great love for ex-coach.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty five fans who love to talk about Survivor came together this week to share their thoughts on episode 4 and as well as their predictions for what we'll see in the next episode.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to a great LF show. This week we heard from: John, Carolyn, Kathy, Shelley, Paul, Susan, Doug, Fancy, Darwin, David, Sandi, Taz, Mikeybear, Maria, Tammy, Tim, Samantha, Julie, Drew, Holly, Jeremiah, MikeK, Shane, Kimberly and Brian.

This week we interviewed Sandy Burgin. She left the game in episode 4 of Survivor Tocantins. Sandy made us laugh more than anyone else this season, and we will certainly miss hearing from her each week.

Listen to this interview to find out what this Survivor fan did to her body that helped her land a spot on the show, her view of each of her tribemates, why the Jalapao tribe is always so grimy and much more!

After episode 4, the tribes are even again. That makes it prime time for a  tribal shuffle.

What did you make of Timbira's "pow-wow" to select a leader? Taj had no problem bringing Stephen and Sierra into the "Secret Alliance". Do you think it stands a chance in the long run of the game? Will Erinn's emotional isolation do her in? Could her weakness end up playing a role in Ben's plan to control Timbira? Do you think Brendan is in danger?

Here are the tribes after the fourth episode:
Jalapao: Joe, JT, Spencer, Stephen, Sydney and Taj
Timbira: Benjamin, Brendan, Debra, Erinn, Sierra and Tyson

Jo Ann thinks Timbira will vote out Erinn next. Stacy thinks they may choose to get rid of Sierra to send Brendan a message. Who do you think will be voted out in episode 4?

Episode 3 continued the blindside trend, but from the feedback, most of us thought we were the intended target instead of Jerry. Ben's antics are a major focus again this week as well as speculation on the potential of the inter-tribe alliance.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty nine fans who love to talk about Survivor took time out of their busy schedules to share their thoughts on episode 3 and as well as their predictions for what we'll see in the next episode.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to a great LF show. This week we heard from: Windy-TyGuy-Erica, Chris, Shelley, John, Drew T, Becca, Jeff, Tim, Maria, Susan, Julie, Paul, Christy, Marina, Ian, Fancy, Mikeybear, Carolyn, Doug, Damien, Drew G, Holly, Jeannie, Taz, Samantha, Shane, Graham, Mike K and Kimberly.

This week we interviewed Jerry Simms. He left the game in episode 3 of Survivor Tocantins. A lot of us had high hopes for Jerry, but an unfortunate illness ended his Survivor experience before we ever really got to see him play.

Listen to this interview to hear his thoughts on each of his tribemates, how he was chosen for the show, why Brendan said he chose Taj to join him on Exile and much more!

With episode 3, we transition from one combo challenge per episode to separate reward and immunity challenges providing two opportunities for each player to convince their tribe that they can't live without them or make the choice for who to vote for at tribal council much easier.

Erinn appeared to catch another break this week, but what did you think of her willingness to criticize her tribe again at Tribal Council? Did we get a glimpse of the final four this week: Taj, Brendan, Stephen and Sierra? Is Tyson playing Ben or is he really ok with being his assistant coach? Do you think Taj found the HII too? Would you hide the HII like Brendan did or keep it on you or with your stuff at all times?

Here are the tribes after the third episode:
Jalapao: Joe, JT, Sandy, Spencer, Stephen, Sydney and Taj
Timbira: Benjamin, Brendan, Debra, Erinn, Sierra and Tyson

We both think that Timbira is going to continue their losing streak until they get rid of Ben. Unfortunately, we believe they will wait to do that and choose to vote out Erinn next. Who do you think will be voted out in episode 4?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. This week we interviewed Candace Smith. She left the game in episode 2 of Survivor Tocantins. She had a lot to say, and the sparks really flew when we asked her to assess her fellow tribemates.

Listen to this interview to hear her sing the praises of two of her Timbira tribemates and dish the dirt on the rest, find out why they arrived so late to camp that first day and the real story behind the shelter that Sierra built.

Note: We apologize for the quality of the audio. There was a problem with static on the line that we were unable to correct.

Oh yeah! The challenge in episode 2 was everything we hoped for.

Both tribes provided some fierce gameplay that may result in some lasting resentments. Would you go all out and punish the other tribe in an attempt to win or try to do just enough to get by?

Sandy dodged another bullet, but Sierra seemed at times like she was trying to make it easy to vote her out? Were you surprised and blindsided at Tribal council too? Can you tell who's leading Timbira now based on how the votes played out? How do you think Taj's famous husband will affect her standing in the game?

Here are the tribes after the second episode:
Jalapao: Joe, JT, Sandy, Spencer, Stephen, Sydney and Taj
Timbira: Benjamin, Brendan, Debra, Erinn, Jerry, Sierra and Tyson

Stacy thinks the balance will shift back in Timbira's favor next week and expects that Taj may end up paying the price for sharing the details on her famous husband. Jo Ann thinks they'll take the easy route and eliminate Sandy. Who do you think will be voted out next?

It's great to have Survivor back, and Brazil in HD is magnificent.

We certainly ended up changing our first impressions of several of the new castaways during this first episode.

What do you think Sandy's chances are after getting to see how she handled herself in the first episode? Do you think Sierra made any progress in changing Timbira's minds? What about Ben? How do you think he will fare when his tribe has to go to Tribal Council the first time? How did your first impressions change?

Here are tribes after the first episode:
Jalapao: Joe, JT, Sandy, Spencer, Stephen, Sydney and Taj
Timbira: Benjamin, Brendan, Candace, Debra, Erinn, Jerry, Sierra and Tyson

Here's the clip from Next Time on Survivor that made Stacy laugh so much. Check out Sandy's rodeo skills! This challenge in episode 2 is going to be a awesome!
Sandy at the challenge rodeo

We're both guessing that Timbira well get a turn at Tribal Council next. Jo Ann thinks Erinn will be the next to be voted out. Stacy thinks Ben will rapidly follow in Carolina's footsteps. Who do you think will be voted out next?

The first episode of Survivor Tocantins is almost here! One more week and we'll be back in the thick of it again. Here's a treat to make the time pass faster. How did your "first impressions" stack up against this group of Survivor Super Fans?

This is Part II of our "Judge a Book by its Cover" show. Twenty four fans, just like you, recorded their perspective on the new cast including their choice of favorites, who's most likely to get voted out first, make the merge, and even win it all.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great JABBIC show. This week we heard from: Windy and Ty-guy, Carol, Ian, John, Ya-Ting, Carolyn, Laura, Fancy, Debbie, Chris, Paul, Belinda, Drew G, Julie, Samantha, Tim, Brennen, Doug, Kimberly, Kathy, Tammy, Becky, Shane, Holly, and special thanks to Jim who sent the JSFL Rap lyrics.

The producers of Surivor have orchestrated this season to emphasize first impressions which coincides with a tradition here at the Survivor Fans Podcast.

This is Part I of our "Judge a Book by its Cover" show. We've recorded our perspective on each new castaway including how well we think they'll do in the overall game as well as some extra details revealed in the TV Guide preview.

Now it is your turn. We want to hear what you think about the 16 new contestants for Survivor Tocantins.
Study the pictures at cbs.com, read their bios, watch the videos and let us know how well you think they will do this season. We want to hear about who you had the strongest reaction to. Don't think too long about it, just go with your "first impression".

Here are tribes before the first episode:
Jalapao: Carolina, Joe, JT, Sandy, Spencer, Stephen, Sydney and Taj
Timbira: Benjamin, Brendan, Candace, Debra, Erinn, Jerry, Sierra and Tyson

Who's your pick for the two will that get the boot before the tribes start the four trip to camp and the first one voted out?
Go out on a limb, and tell us who you think will win it all.
Which ones do you think will make the merge and who just doesn't stand a chance?

Send your impressions to us by 5pm PST on Thursday, February 5th, and we'll include them in Part II of the JABBIC show for everyone to hear.

We've got several ways you can share your thoughts about the new castaways with everyone. You can call and leave a voicemail at: 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.

Time's running out for JSFL registration. We're going to have to close it early this season. We've already received more requests to join than we had last year. If you're interested in participating in the JSFL, our own, private Survivor fantasy league, send an email to jsfl.admin@gmail.com to let us know, and we'll add you to the roster and send you additional instructions if there's still an available slot open. The prize this season will be similar to last season, e.g. a Survivor t-shirt or buff. Not sure what the JSFL is? Check out the links section below for the rules we will be using and the results from last season.

Russ Landau granted us permission to feature his music on the show. The well loved version of the Ancient Voices tune is from the Survivor Gabon soundtrack which is available on iTunes

The intro music is a favorite that we like to end each season with and is dedicated to the game of Survivor. A simple pleasure for sure, but one that we treasure. You can find information on the intro tune at the Podsafe Music Network. Russ Landau granted us permission to feature his music on the show. The outro is from the recently released Survivor Gabon soundtrack, which is available on iTunes. Click the images below to go to PMN or the iTunes store.

We had another great adventure at the Survivor Gabon finale!

In this podcast, we recap the finale and share details of our trip. It was really exciting because we were able to sit in the audience for the first time, and we were able to do interviews on the Red Carpet!

Congratulations to John D, winner of the Gabon JSFL!

He was the only player to get the final four order correct! He jumped from a 16 way tie for 6th to first with a resounding 104 total points.

Look for several additional interviews to be posted this week. We're also looking forward to hearing what you thought about the finale, the reunion show and the season as a whole. What did you think of the final five? How did your view on each castaway change during the season? How did Gabon compare for you to past seasons? Is it in your top 5 list?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.

Note: Listener Feedback is due Saturday, December 20th by 5pm PST.

The intro and outro tunes are both in celebration of Bob's awesome performance in this episode. You can find information on the intro tune at the Podsafe Music Network. Russ Landau granted us permission to feature his music on the show. The outro is from the recently released Survivor Gabon soundtrack, which is available on iTunes. We were treated to another excellent episode and a superb Tribal Council!

Back at the beginning of the season, would you have ever imagined that Bob would win four challenges in a row? Were you as surprised as us to see the animosity between the alliance of 5 that so effectively wiped out the Onion alliance? Do you think Sugar is "good people"?

Here is the tribe after the thirteenth episode:
NOBAG: Bob, Ken, Matty, Sugar and Susie

Jo Ann thinks the final order will be: Ken, Susie, Sugar, Matty and Bob for the win. Stacy thinks it will be: Ken, Bob, Sugar, Susie and Matty for the win. How do you think it will play out?

We will not be doing a Listener Feedback show for this episode before the finale, but we would love hear what you thought about it. We've got several ways you can reach us. It was really great to be back at a Tribal Council that involved some suspense.

The "Amazing Bob" train appears to have a full head of steam at this point. It was certainly interesting to see how easily Ken and Crystal flipped to Bob and Corinne's plan. Do you think Bob will be able to escape the focused wrath of Kenny? Do you think Kenny will be able to recover from voting for Matty?

What did you think about Crystal's choice of Sugar as her first pick at the Reward Challenge? What kind of "reward" challenge is it when everyone gets the reward? What did you think of Matty's proposal? Did you believe it was evidence of his new found maturity? How likely is it that Bob will fool someone else with another fake idol? Was there anything in the recap show that you thought was noteworthy?

Here is the tribe after the twelth episode:
NOBAG: Bob, Crystal, Ken, Matty, Sugar and Susie

Our current guesstimate is that Ken will be next to go. Who do you think will be voted out next?

We're looking forward to hearing what you thought about this episode. We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. CBS offered up a recap show last week and we've got our own special episode too. As previously mentioned, here's the audio Shane recorded for us while he was adventuring through the jungle on holiday in Pulau Tiga. When he returned, he provided some extra details on his trip that we mixed in for those of you that might also be interested in checking out the location where it all began.

Dan Bollinger's Survivor 1 Map will help you get some sense of where Shane was as he calls out the sites he visited. Make sure to check out the link below to Shane's pictures for even more details.

You can call and leave a voicemail at our new number: 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.
