We definitely ended up with two, polarized camps to describe episode 10. Some people loved it and others found it lacking. The other big discussion points: Was Bob playing strategically or was he just in it to help Sugar get revenge on Randy? Is Sugar way smarter than anyone is giving her credit for?

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we hear from: Linda, Fancy, Bob, Jeannie, John, Billy, Christy, Becky, Shelley, Shane, Suzanne, Gary, Ian, DrewT, Becca, DrewG, Brian, KathyS, Doug, Paul, Carol, Graham, Mike, Holly, Tim and Kimberly

Wow, first Susie and now Kenny. Who's next, Crystal?

Several of us imagined elaborate plans for how Bob might take advantage of his fake HII. Very few if any saw its potential as a masterful joke constructed by Sugar. Do you think he made the best choice for himself?

Does Corrine stand a chance to make final 3, or is she simply a pawn now waiting for the axe to fall? When is the best time to get rid of Sugar? Who do you think will make the final 3? Who do you think is the biggest threat to win it all now?

Here is the tribe after the tenth episode:
NOBAG: Bob, Crystal, Corinne, Ken, Matty, Sugar and Susie

Jo Ann's going with the safe bet and picking Corrine to go next. Stacy thinks the time is right to go after Sugar. Who do you think will be voted out next?

One, two, three... the blindsides just keep coming! Are you surprised that tiny little Ken has been behind the last two?

Bonzai Bob wins the award for "Best Fake HII". What do you think his best strategy for using it is now that the tribes merged?

Susie guaranteed herself three more days by winning individual immunity. Who saw that coming? We've seen a couple of significant swing vote scenarios in the last two episodes. How do you think next week will play out now that there's an even number of players left? Do you find yourself rooting for the underdogs? Would you be happy if Susie, Crystal or Ken won it all?

Here is the new merge tribe after the ninth episode:
NOBAG: Bob, Crystal, Corinne, Ken, Matty, Randy, Sugar and Susie

At this point, we think the tribe has grown tired of Randy and will send him to join the Charlie and Marcus fashion show at the Ponderosa. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Wow, Dr Feelgood made an early exit. Most of us didn't see that one coming, but six savvy JSFL players were rewarded with a 2 point FoJ, First on Jury, bonus this week!

Sugar surprised no one by crying after learning that she had betrayed the one person that had consistently protected her. Bob was sure regretting last week's choice too. Do you think it would have hurt Marcus in any way to let Susie pick who they were voting out this week?

Was it truly wise to discard the HII or would you have taken it to guarantee yourself at least 3 more days? Do you think Susie really stands a chance to make it to final 3? Why is Kenny so confident that he will make final 4?

Here are the new tribes after the eighth episode:
New New KOTA: Bob,Crystal, Ken, and Susie
New New FANG: Charlie, Corinne, Matty,Randy, and Sugar

If next week's immunity is a team effort, we both think Bob will be next to go. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Woohoo! We got our first blindside plus a masterful demonstration of vote splitting to flush a potential HII.

Sugar betrayed the one person that had consistently protected her. So, who really turned out to the be snake in that alliance? Dan's social awkwardness and lack of impulse control around food sealed his fate. Do you think it will be a better long term choice to stick with fickle Susie?

Poor Matty. He's on the outside at Fang and viewed as a physical threat by Kota. Will he be our next quitter or the next one voted out? Is Sugar really better off with Ken and Crystal instead of Ace and Matty? Do you think Marcus will bring her into the Onion alliance or will they simply use the same technique they used on Dan to flush out the real HII? Do you think we'll see a merge in the next episode and has Randy completely lost it or has he secured himself a spot in the final four?

Here are the new tribes after the seventh episode:
New KOTA: Bob, Charlie, Corinne, Marcus, Randy, and Susie
New FANG: Crystal, Ken, Matty, and Sugar

We both think Matty will be the next one voted out. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Today we interviewed Kelly Czarnecki. She left the game in episode 6 of Survivor Gabon. Kelly's "straight talk" strategy certainly made her Tribal Council visits interesting and entertaining.

Listen to this interview to learn how she was chosen for Survivor, who she thinks is calling all the shots at Fang, who she would like to see win plus answers to questions you submitted and lots more!

For better or worse, it seems safe to say that Kelly always spoke her mind. Unfortunately for her, that seemed to secure her a spot at Loser's Lodge instead of a place in the merged tribe.

The Brat alliance is down to two remaining members and they will very likely go in their own respective directions very soon now. Do you think the ongoing fragmentation in Fang will leave them all as free agents once the merge occurs? Will new Kota stay tight if a wealth of new voting options opens up?

Not only is Dan comfortable enough to share his leadership style now, he also is at ease enough to eat until he's full and ignore the unspoken rules of appropriate food proportions. Susie's position seems to improve every time Dan acts on an impulse. Do you think Randy stepped over the line this time? Will his gloating come back to haunt him? Do you think Matty will keep his word to Ace? Is Sugar playing a strategic game or just following instructions?

Here are the new tribes after the sixth episode:
New KOTA: Bob, Charlie, Corinne, Dan, Marcus, Randy, and Susie
New FANG: Ace, Crystal, Ken, Matty, and Sugar

Jo Ann thinks Ace and Dan will go in next week's double elimination. Stacy agrees that Dan will go from Kota, but thinks it will be Crystal instead of Ace . Who do you think will be voted out next?

Uhg, at least the first person that quit last season was suffering from a broken jaw. Who knows, maybe GC will get to DJ at the finale.

The Brat alliance led by the Evil 3 took a big hit this week. Will this spell the end for them or will they rally to take down Ace as their losing streak continues?

Dan's so comfortable at the new Kota tribe, that he's decided to let his true self show through. Do you think he might have just made himself a bigger target than quiet Susie? How is it that Kelly lasted longer than GC? Do you think there's any chance that Fang can rally at this point? Have you started rooting for Ace yet?

Here are the new tribes after the fifth episode:
New KOTA: Bob, Charlie, Corinne, Dan, Marcus, Randy, and Susie
New FANG: Ace, Crystal, Kelly, Ken, Matty, and Sugar

Jo Ann thinks Ace will be the next to be voted out. Stacy is worried that Ken may be in jeopardy but believes that Crystal will be the next Evil 3 casualty. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Whew, that took a lot more work than usual. We finished recording this 2.5 hour show and then realized that most of the audio saved on the PC was unusable. We had so much fun compiling and recording all of your comments that we knew we had to fix it and get it out to you. Fortunately, we record with a backup and we were able to recover most of it. The audio quality where we read or respond in the last 2/3s of the show suffered quite a bit in the process, but we hope it's still something you can enjoy.

Thanks so much to everyone that took the time to send in their thoughts and predictions. This week we hear from: John, Debbie, Doug, Christy, Monica, Kathy, Samantha, Suzanne, Shane, Becky, Brian, David, Carolyn, Jeanne, Kathy, Charissa, Linda, Tim, Holly, Ian, Drew NJ, Drew UT, Graham, Kimberly, Chris, Paul, Taz, MikeK, and Tammy.

Wow, we still haven't had a blindside at Tribal Council, but they sure blindsided the fans with this episode.

We never figured we would see such a well rounded player in a strong alliance go out this early. Kelly got her revenge and plenty of airtime this week. What do you think about the new tribes?

Were you impressed with Kelly this week? Does she have a smart, strong social game, or is she just lucky? What would you have done if you had a chance to collect a second HII? If Fang loses again, who should they focus on to vote out? What do you think about this final four: GC, Crystal, Ken and Kelly?

Here are the new tribes after the fourth episode:
KOTA: Bob, Charlie, Corrine, Dan, Marcus, Randy, and Susie
FANG: Ace, Crystal, GC, Kelly, Ken, Matty, and Sugar

Jo Ann thinks Ken will be the next to be voted out. Stacy thinks Sugar will be blindsided. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Sounds like most of you really enjoyed episode 3 as much as we did. Sugar's quest for the HII played a big part in that, and the two excellent challenges kept us focused on this new season despite the fact that no one has been blindsided yet in Tribal Council.

Thanks to everyone that took the time to send in their thoughts and predictions. This week we hear from: Carol, Samantha, John, Sandi, Charissa, Doug, Drew NJ, Ste, Becky, Brian, Kathy, Drew UT, Tim, Ian, Chris, Carolyn, Brad, Jeannie, Holly, MikeK, and Shane.

Now that both tribes have gotten rid of the "weakest" players, it will be interesting to see what happens next.

Poor Paloma never really seemed to have a chance. She appeared to share some negative qualities with Michelle which similarly set her on a course to leave early. Go back and look at her bio picture and then consider how she carried herself in the game. It's like looking at two different people. Was she perhaps trying to con everyone much like Ace?

Randy's head wound seems to be healed, but now he seems to be on a crash course with GC. Which will go first Randy or the Golden Child? Are the seams in Ace's con game starting to show or is he the real deal? Given the opportunity, would you have voted him out instead of Paloma? Who's playing the better game: Ace or Sugar? Do you think we're likely to see a tribe shuffle next week?

Here are tribes after the third episode:
KOTA: Ace, Bob, Charlie, Corinne, Jacquie, Kelly, Marcus, and Sugar
FANG: Crystal, Dan, GC, Ken, Matty, Randy, and Susie

Jo Ann thinks Susie will be the next to be voted out. Stacy thinks GC's time is finally up. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Today we interviewed Gillian Larson. She left the game in episode 2 of Survivor Gabon. This week we interview Michelle Chase. She left the game in episode 1 of Survivor Gabon. She might have only spent a short time with the Fang tribe, but she had some pretty clear opinions of them that she did not hesitate to share.

Listen to this interview to learn more about her connection to last season's winner, why she thought Randy should have been taken out of the game, how she faired on that first night, who ended up covered in leeches plus answers to questions you submitted and lots more!

Woohoo! Survivor's back and finally in HD which was every bit as stunning as we had always imagined.

Surprise, the Parvati clone turns out to not have any social game and the "older" female is singled out for being weak. Well that first one was a surprise for many of us even though Jeff Probst essentianly called it for both women in the pre-season interviews.

What do you think Randy's chances are for having to leave for medical reasons? How much longer will Crystal be able to keep her secret? Who do you think will become the "evil" alliance? What did you think about Jeff's questions at the first tribal council?

Here are tribes after the combo episode:
KOTA: Ace, Bob, Charlie, Corinne, Jacquie, Kelly, Marcus, Paloma, and Sugar
FANG: Crystal, Dan, GC, Ken, Matty, Randy, and Susie

Jo Ann thinks Paloma will be the next to be voted out. Stacy thinks GC will push his tribe over the edge as Fang continues their losing streak. Who do you think will be voted out next?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. To celebrate the first episode, our intro music focuses on new beginnings. Our outro tune is dedicated to the setting for season 17. Here are the links if you want to learn more about their music.

Curious how the JSFL picks turned out?

We created two charts, Week1a and Week1b, for the first episode since two castaways will be voted out.

How did your choices compare?

Note: We'll replace the two charts with a single results chart after the episode airs.

The response for those interested in this season's JSFL has been wonderful.

In fact, it has been so good that we need to close registration early to make sure we keep it at a manageable number of players.

This is going to be the most challenging season to date with two eliminations in the first episode. All you "fence sitters" need to get your picks in pronto! :)

Thanks,
Jo Ann and Stacy

It's time for our pre-season Judge A Book By Its Cover show.

That's right, we're sharing our impressions of the new castaways before we even get to see the first episode. The instructions for this show were to study the bios, intro videos and the TV Guide preview to gleen some insight.

Many thanks to everyone that took the time to send in their thoughts. This week we hear from: Becky, Doug, Belinda, Ian, Tim, Ste, Kathy, Drew, Charissa, Holly, Paul, Sandi, Carol, Chris, Fancy, Brian, and Kimberly.

Here's our guess at the new tribes based on the TV Guide Preview
KOTA: Ace, Bob, Charlie, Corinne, Jacquie, Kelly, Marcus, Paloma, and Sugar
FANG: Crystal, Dan, GC, Gillian, Ken, Matty, Michelle, Randy, and Susie

We're already at 77 players for the JSFL. If you're interested in participating this season, don't hesitate because we may have to close registration early to keep it managable. Send an email to jsfl.admin@gmail.com to let us know, and we'll add you to the roster and send you additional instructions. Calling all Survivor Fans!

We're getting ready for the kickoff of the 17th season of Survivor. This marks our 8th season of podcasting about Survivor, what we refer to as one of our life's simple pleasures. Basically, we enjoy watching Survivor and talking about it with our friends, and we begin each season with our "Judge a Book by its Cover" show.

We want to hear what you think about the 18 new contestants for Survivor Gabon.
Study the pictures at cbs.com, read their bios, watch the videos and let us know how well you think they will do this season. We want to hear your gut reaction. Don't think to long about it, just go with your first instinct.

Who's your pick for the first one voted out?
Go out on a limb, and tell us who you think will win it all.
Which ones do you think will make the merge and who just doesn't stand a chance?

Send your impressions to us by noon PST on Saturday, September 13, and we'll include them in the show for everyone to hear.

We've got several ways you can share your thoughts about the new castaways with everyone. You can call and leave a voicemail at our new number: 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.

If you're interested in participating in the JSFL, our own, private Survivor fantasy league, send an email to jsfl.admin@gmail.com to let us know, and we'll add you to the roster and send you additional instructions. The prize this season will be similar to last season, e.g. a Survivor t-shirt or buff. Not sure what the JSFL is? Check out the links section below for the rules we used last season along with the results.

Madsumo is one of our favorite podsafe artists. His tune, On the Grill, is a perfect fit for our "Judge A Book" show. Here's a link in case you want to learn more about him and his music.

Never send an Ice Cream Boy to do an Ice Cream Man's job.... or something like that.

So, what do you think? Is it a bigger blunder than James made in China? Giving up a guaranteed final four spot would appear to qualify. Is anyone else surprised that we actually ended up with a female final four? Who stands the best chance to win it all from here?

Here are our final four:
Dabu: Amanda, Cirie, Natalie and Parvati

Jo Ann's guess at final four order is: 4th Natalie, 3rd Parvati, 2nd Amanda , and Cirie as the winner.
Stacy thinks it will be: 4th Natalie, 3rd Amanda, 2nd Parvati, and also with Cirie for the win! So, how do you think it will play out?

We look forward to hearing what you thought after the finale, and we've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). Wow, a third person leaves this season without being voted out. Not sure if James actually had any game left in him, but it's hard to see him go out that way.

So, does this mean that Parvati is loyal to Amanda, or just really lucky at aligning with the person in power? Why doesn't anyone think to target Cirie? Erik just won his second immunity challenge in a row. Are you still convinced that we'll have a female final four?

Here is the new merged tribe after episode 12:
Dabu: Amanda, Cirie, Erik, Natalie and Parvati

Jo Ann's sticking with Erik as her early call for the next to go. Stacy's convinced it will be Natalie. Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

We look forward to hearing what you thought about this episode, and we've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. The intro is dedicated to Amanda. Looks like she found the missing "game" she lost 3 episodes ago. The outro is dedicated to Alexis. It's nappy time for wittle Alexis. Here's a link to the artists at the PodShow Music Network in case you want to learn more about them.

Most of the podcasting advice out there says, "keep your shows short to avoid losing your audience's attention." So, these super duper LF shows fly in the face of conventional wisdom. We cut bits and pieces here and there, but it's really hard to pare it down much more with all the great insights you guys send in.

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode and predictions for what we can expect next. Records smecords. How's two hours and 26 minutes of true Survivor fans sounding off on their favorite show with a special focus on episode 11 sound? Check below for the pics from Borneo Bum. Those coconut crabs are monsters!

This week we hear from: Borneo Bum, Doug, Drew, Steve, Holly, Toledo Dave, Brenten, Carolyn, Terri, Ste, Ian, David, Jeannie, Shelley, Michelle, Brad, Carol, Kathy, Paul, Becky, Amy, Chris, Fancy, Graham, Shane, MikeK and Brian

They feed them "sugar and spice and everything nice" as they wrap the remaining men up in their web to be devoured later. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them.

Jason really is a winner if you grade him against his primary objective in the game. He wanted to prove that he could beat Ozzy, and he certainly demonstrated that he could exceed him even when it came to making blunders.

Is Natalie getting a winner or villain's edit? Will we see James go out on a medical leave? Which alliance do you believe Parvati is really loyal to? Does it matter at this point? Can you think of any other alliance from past seasons that appeared this dominant and confident in their plans? Do you think they can really hold it together for 6 more days?

Here is the new merged tribe after episode 11:
Dabu: Alexis, Amanda, Cirie, Erik, James, Natalie and Parvati

Jo Ann's picking Erik as the next to go. Stacy's back to thinking it will be James. Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

Wow, Ozzy got blindsided and he says there's more to come. You think we might get a lot of people who want to talk about what happened in episode 10? If you love Survivor and have been dying to find someone to talk with, you've found a home here for sure.

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode and predictions for what we can expect next. You set a new record: 27 fans called, recorded and emailed. Was it the biggest blunder? Who's got the best chance to take it all from here. Who's leaving next. People from all walks of life and from around the world share their views on episode 10.

This week we hear from: Carol, Paul, Jim, Tim, Doug, Becky, Sandi, Shelley, Brad, Kurt, Mimi, Melinda, Randy, Kathy, Kimberly, Steve, Holly, Jeannie, Ian, Genevieve, LadyBug/Angie, David, Brian, Fancy, Chris, Mike, and Shane

We love hearing what you thought, and we've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). The intro music this week is dedicated to Ozzy. It wasn't the biggest blunder, but he sure answered some outstanding questions about his strategic game. Let's call this episode "Eliza Strikes Back"! Cirie certainly seemed to pay attention to what she said and then acted on it to get rid of her next biggest threat.

Do you think Parvati made the best long term choice for herself? If Eliza, Ozzy, James, and Amanda all end up in the jury, can you see her getting their votes? Who do you think has the best chance to make final 3 three now? Amanda appears to have dropped even further out of the running. Her only remaining ally is James given that Parvati and Cirie shut her out of their plans. Can you see anyway she could fight her way back in? What are the chances that a guy can make final 4?

Here is the new merged tribe after episode 10:
Dabu: Alexis, Amanda, Cirie, Erik, James, Jason, Natalie and Parvati

Jo Ann's sticking with Jason as her pick to get voted out next. Stacy thinks that Parvati will turn on James next. Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

We look forward to hearing what you thought about this episode, and we've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). The intro song is dedicated to Ozzy. While his goof might not have been as historic as James', he certainly deserves to be celebrated for blowing his chances at winning the million. We got a full 3 day Survivor cycle this week and it's time to hear what you thought of episode 9!

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode and predictions for what we can expect next. You had lots to talk about this week for sure. Erik and Jason provided some of the best comedic moments of the season. Some folks believe Jason really believed in his HII and others are convinced that he was playing Eliza the whole time. There's some great debate on Amanda's future as well as how best to update your USB choices for JSFL. There's also several theories to consider for who will be voted out next. If you hadn't already, make sure to check out the extra videos in the links section below.

This week we hear from: Ted, Bill, Monique, Tammy, Kimberly, Michelle, Chris, Shelley, Fancy, Manny, Brad, Melinda, Holly and Charles, Steve, Doug, Ian, Paul, Mike, and Brian

Yes! We finally get to see the Hidden Immunity Idol played. It just wasn't played by the person we expected or with quite the conviction we were hoping for. What a surprise to find out that Eric had enough of a sense of humor and wit to pull one over on the whole tribe.

Anyone else think we just watched Amanda get replaced by Alexis? Which of those two do you think will be voted out first? Did Ozzy's loss to Jason help take some of the focus off of him as the leader and prime target? Do you think Parvati's multiple alliance commitments will get her into trouble? Could it cost her the game? Do you think Ozzy would ever give the HII away to someone when he had won individual immunity?

Here is the new merged tribe after episode 9:
Dabu: Alexis, Amanda, Cirie, Erik, James, Jason, Natalie, Ozzy and Parvati

Jo Ann thinks Jason will finally get voted out next. Stacy thinks that Cirie will come up with the master plan to get rid of Ozzy. Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

The intro song is dedicated to Eliza. She seems well on her way to fulfilling the stereotype of lawyers given everything we've heard about her. Survivor's back and it's time to hear what you thought of episode 8!

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode and predictions for what we can expect next. Everyone has high expectations for this episode after waiting two weeks. For some it delivered and for others it just didn't quite work. It certainly did seem odd to drop back to an episode that all took place in one day in the middle of the season. We really look forward to the LF shows because all of your diverse opinions offer new possibilities to consider and weigh with something new to think about each week.

This week we hear from: Shelley, Manny, Doug, Ian, Shane, Brad, Kathy, Kimberly, Chris, Holly, David, Sandi, Fancy, Graham, Paul, Belinda and MikeK

We love hearing what you thought, and We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). The intro music this week is dedicated to Ami. She never really found her groove, but she did give us one of this season's best moments when she thanked Eric with the machete in hand. The outro is dedicated to Jason. Here's hoping that Eliza doesn't spoil his secret. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them.

Yay! No one quit this week!

How many of you thought Ami was doing a great job of snowing the remaining Malakals? Would you eat a rat if you got hungry enough? Who do you think Parvati is really planning to work with to get to the final four? Do you think Alexis was able to influence Ozzy any during their brief stint together on Exile Island? Is there a chance that Alexis might be able to sway him away from Amanda? The merge happens next week and the deck is stacked 6-4 against the fans. Do you still think a "fan" stands a chance to make it to the end?

Here are the tribes after episode 8:
New Airai: Alexis, Eliza, James, Jason, Natalie, and Parvati
New Malakal: Amanda, Cirie, Erik, and King Ozzy

We're thinking Jason will be a natural target once the tribes merge next week.

Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.

The intro song is dedicated to Ami and the outro seems to be a perfect fit for lost puppy dog Erik. Here's a link to the artists at the PodShow Music Network in case you want to learn more about them.

Reminder: No Survivor this week! We'll see you back here on Thursday, April 3rd.

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode and predictions for what we can expect next. This season keeps sending us surprises. Many of us believe it's one of the best ever, yet we find ourselves in the undesirable position of having to purge another quitter from our discussions and the ranks of supposed Survivor "super fans". Well, this is the show to let it out, vent, and move on. We're just at the half way point and there's still much to look forward to as we anticipate what the next episodes will bring.

This week we hear from: Shelley, Kathy, Ian, Joyce, Terri, Holly, Steve, Jerry, Doug, Jeannie, Ted, Chris, Graham, Brad, MikeK, Sandi, Fancy, Brian, and Becky

We love hearing what you thought, and We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.

The intro music this week is dedicated to Tracy. We love that she never gave up. The outro is dedicated to the psycho Survivors and scary challenges from this season. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them.

The producers appear to have found a way to avoid those awkward unpopular double elimination episodes. They just make sure to stack the tribes with people who can't hack it. Would you have ever thought that we would see a worse quitter than Osten from Pearl Islands? It's easy to think given the multitude of recruits in past seasons that it might happen, but who would have guessed that we would be subjected to one on a season of supposed "Super Fans"?

Unfortunately, we're faced with another quitter this week. What were your thoughts on how Kathy left? What did you think of Ozzy's performance this week? How about Cirie? Do you think her negative campaign against Ozzy is having an affect on Amanda? Do you think a fan still has a chance to win this season?

Check out these Hidden Scene videos from Episode 7

Here are the tribes after episode 7:
New Airai: Alexis, Eliza, James, Jason, Natalie, and Parvati

Remember: Survivor is on Wednesday night this week!

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode and predictions for what we can expect next. We all need to vent about Chet one more time and release that bitter memory. Another theme for this episode is whether or not Jason really believes he found the HII. Of course several folks want to pay tribute to Jonathan and were very sad to see him leave, and everyone has their version of who's playing the best game at this point that they want to share.

This week we hear from: Kurt, Shane, Ian, Belinda, Sushi&Wasabi, Bill, Tammy, Becky, Doug, Kathy, Ted, Kimberly, Steve, Fancy, Brad, Jeannie, Sandi, David, Paul, Mike, and Brian

We love hearing what you thought, and We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). The intro music this week is dedicated to Chet and Jason. They both appear to have suffered from delusions during this season. The outro is dedicated to Kathy. Yes, it's an instrumental, but I could swear I hear her talking to us. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them.

I think we have our answer as to who's the powerhouse player in Malakal. Tracy doesn't stand a chance against Cirie now.

Can you believe Chet is finally gone? Did anyone else feel conflicted at the possibility that he might hang around just long enough to knock out Ozzy too? What did you think about Penner's exit from the game? What did you think of Jason's announcement upon returning from Exile Island? Was it a cover story or did he truly realize he has a fake? Which pair do you think will get voted out first: Tracy and Erik or Parvati and James?

Here are the tribes after episode 6:
New Airai: Alexis, Eliza, James, Jason, Kathleen, Natalie, and Parvati
New Malakal: Amanda, Ami, Cirie, Erik, Ozzy, and Tracy

Jo Ann thinks Tracy will be the next to go. Stacy agrees that it will be a fan but thinks that Kathy will find a way to join Chet ASAP. Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

What better way to celebrate reaching our 200th episode than to get feedback from 25 die hard Survivor fans!

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode and predictions for what we can expect next. Sounds like Joel won some of you over in his interview. We didn't believe everything he was selling, but most of us did believe he was a genuine fan of the show. As a group, we're still very polarized for and against specific Survivors that are still in the game. Many of us also felt bad for Chet as he was dragged through the reward challenge, but couldn't stop laughing at the same time. Everyone seems to be concerned that Jonathan will be forced to leave for medical reasons this week. Thanks to everyone that sent feedback this week and for helping us celebrate reaching this milestone in the podcast!

This week we hear from: Steve, Rumarie, Charles and Holly, Carol, Shelley, Ian, MalGal, David, Chris, Kathy, Ted, Kimberly, Tim, Doug, Fancy, Brad, Jeannie, Sandi, Teresa, Graham, Paul, Shane, MikeK, and Brian

We love hearing what you thought, and We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). The intro music this week is dedicated to the women of Survivor 16. They appear to be holding all the cards right now. The outro is dedicated to Jason based on the "Next on Survivor" clip for episode 6. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them.

Well, now that Cirie and Tracy are on the same tribe we'll really be able to sort out who the top dog is in Survivor Micronesia.

Who's your vote for the best blindside face so far this season?: MikeyB when Mary was voted out or Joel when the karma train came calling? What do you think Ami's best play is? Should she defect to Tracy's weakling coalition? How long do you think we'll have to wait to see if Jason plays the fake HII? Was it a mistake for Ozzy to tell the Pleasure Alliance about the HII? What do you think your best play is if you think you found an HII?

What would you do if you were in Jonathan's shoes? Do you risk it and wait until there are obvious signs that it's infected and your health begins to deteriorate? Is there anything you could do from a "bush medicine" perspective to help it heal?

Here are the tribes after episode 5:
New Airai: Alexis, Eliza, James, Jason, Jonathan, Kathleen, Natalie, and Parvati
New Malakal: Amanda, Ami, Chet, Cirie, Erik, Ozzy, and Tracy

Jo Ann thinks that it will be safe to get rid of Chet now that Joel's gone. Stacy thinks Parvati will have it in for Natalie. Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

Tomorrow's interview will mark our 200th podcast and we're looking forward to celebrating that with you in the Listener Feedback show on Monday. We've got several ways you can reach us. It's official. The Listener Feedback show has moved to Mondays, and what better way to celebrate the move to a new night than breaking last weeks record for the most feedback in one week!

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode and predictions for what we can expect next. We could easily title this show the "Who's Your Favorite?" episode. We get emotional celebrations of the magnificient Ozzie, empassioned pleas for Jonathan, elated surprise and amusement for James, and a detailed history lesson on the "superior gamesmanship" of Cirie. We love it all! We appreciate everyone that took the time to record, call, or write in with their views on episode 4 and share them with all the other Super Fans that hang out at the SFP.

This week we hear from: Kathy, Shelley, Doug, David, Monique, Kurt, Fancy, Paul, Carol, Chris, James, Ian, Jeannie, Kimberly, Steve, Brad, Graham, Sandi, Holly, Taz, Mike, and Brian

There's a new alpha male in the Airai tribe and her name is Tracy. To quote Yogi Berra, "This is like deja vu all over again." Is anyone else struck by the similarities in the episodes week to week as the balance plays back and forth between the tribes?

I want to say this was a blindside again, but after watching the video at CBS where you get to hear what everyone says when they vote, it appears that Mikey B knew it was coming. What's your view on Tracy after seeing her work her magic on Joel? Do you think that was a smart play for Joel? Was it the best play for the Airai tribe?

Can you think of anyone that has ever been as good as Ozzy at figuring out the optimal approach to a challenge? How do you think Alexis' assessment of Ozzy affected her fellow Airai tribemates? Do you think Kathy has quit and is just along for the ride at this point? What did you think of Eeyore, the fake Hidden Immunity Idol?

Here are the tribes after episode 4:
Airai: Alexis, Chet, Erik, Jason, Joel, Kathleen, Natalie, and Tracy
Malakal: Amanda, Ami, Cirie, Eliza, James, Jonathan, Ozzy, and Parvati

Stacy is back to thinking that Chet will be eliminated next. Jo Ann professes to have no clue and just agrees with Stacy to get him to shutup and finish the show. Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

Reminder: The Listener Feedback show is moving to Monday starting next week. To be included in the show we need your feedback by 5pm PST.

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.

The intro song is dedicated to all of us who just lost our USB, and uh, Mikey B too. The outro is dedicated to Tracy. She's got game after all. Here's a link to the artists at the Podcast Music Network in case you want to learn more about them.

We've got a record number of people for tonight's Listener Feedback show and it's full of back and forth banter with the listeners too!

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode and predictions for what we can expect next. Seems like we were split this week on how to interpret Cirie's actions. Some folks loved how she stood up for herself and others wondered what happened to the previous Cirie they used to cheer for as an underdog. Most of us seemed to agree on Jonathan though. He appears to be doomed although Doug does mention a scenario that might offer him hope. Several folks mentioned that they really enjoyed seeing Erik bang Eliza in the head with the cushion continuing her head trauma trend for this season. Paul's right. They should look into getting that girl some head gear before she ends up with a concussion.

This week we hear from: Mallory, Carol, Bill, Kathy, Doug, Holly, Kimberly, Shelley, Drew, Ian, Tammy, Chris, Amy, Fancy, Brad, Steve, Paul, Jeannie, Brian, MikeK, and Sandi

Here's the uncanny celebrity resemblance that Toledo Dave spotted for Kathy on the fans tribe.
Kathy as the receptionist on the Bob Newhart Show

Kimberly included a couple of pics to backup her theory for who finds the Hidden Immunity Idol. What do you think?

We love hearing what you thought, and We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.

The intro and outro music this week are both dedicated to Jonathan. He's a crafty devil but it looks like Cirie's got his number. It should be fun to watch and see how he plans to climb out of the hole he was shoved into in episode 3. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them.

There's a new alpha male in the Malakal tribe and her name is Cirie.

The blindsides continued, but this time it was the audience and not a Survivor on the receiving end. The brutal, extreme, battle ends up being a reward challenge which threw the basis for most of our guesses about who would go home out the window. Kudos to the fans this week though. As Joel said, they got beat twice this week: once by the Favs and then again by mother nature. Then, they somehow find the strength to hang in and win an endurance challenge for immunity.

What do you think about the new female, final 3 alliance in the Favs tribe? Do you think they can keep it together and ride it all the way to the end? Do you think Jonathan and Ami stand a chance now that they've been excluded from the "Pleasure Alliance"? Who do you think will go first from the Fans: Joel or MikeyB?

Here are the tribes after episode 3:
Airai: Alexis, Chet, Erik, Jason, Joel, Kathleen, Mikey, Natalie, and Tracy
Malakal: Amanda, Ami, Cirie, Eliza, James, Jonathan, Ozzy, and Parvati

Jo Ann thinks Joel will be next target. Stacy has given up on thinking that Chet will get voted out anytime soon and instead set his sites on Jonathan. Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.

The intro song is dedicated to Cirie. She saw the opportunity to take charge and took the reigns in the Favs tribe. The outro is dedicated to Jonanthan and MikeyB. They are both in very precarious situations. Here's a link to the artists at the Podcast Music Network in case you want to learn more about them.

It's time for another super duper Listener Feedback show for Survivor Micronesia!

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode. Several folks were left puzzled by Joel's vote for Tracy, so we make sure to answer that one. More votes come in to confirm that Eric and Jason win the "I look like someone famous" awards. There's even a new nomination for Kathy. And predictions are all over the place for who goes home next, which means it should be another suspense filled show just the way we all love them.

This week we hear from: Carol, The Jimp, Kimberly, Holly, Doug, TAZ, Mallory, Kathy, Steve, Brad, Fancy, Paul, MikeK, and Brian

We love hearing what you thought, and We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.

The intro music this week is again dedicated to poor Mary and the potential impact a decision like that can have on the Fans tribe. The outro music this week is dedicated to Joel and Cirie. It looks like they'll be calling the shots for their respective tribes this week. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them.

So long Mary. We hardly knew ya.

Enough with the quitting. This week we're treated to a classic blindside! Joel decided it was time to send a message, and Mary was basically collateral damage. Instead of focusing on how to make the tribe stronger and best equiped for the next challenge, it was time for an alpha male to establish the pecking order. Given everything we saw in episode 2, which tribe do you think will be in the best position to win the next super physical challenge?

In Chet's intro video, he described himself as "...a more edgy Ozzy". He also said, "I can pretty much do what he's done except I'm a little more out there". I think Chet's immunity challenge performance answered any questions we might have had about his physical abilities.
Chet DivingVSOzzy Diving

It's starting to look like the Favs may be safe for a little while as the Fans are on track to becoming as dysfunctional as the wack jobs in the Casaya tribe from Survivor Panama Exile Island. What do you think was really behind Joel's decision to target Mary? Is Joel shaping up to be our villian for this season? How would you rate the performance of the Super Fans to date?

Here are the tribes after episode 2:
Airai: Alexis, Chet, Erik, Jason, Joel, Kathleen, Mikey, Natalie, and Tracy
Malakal: Amanda, Ami, Cirie, Eliza, James, Jonathan, Ozzy, Parvati, and Yau-Man

Jo Ann thinks Kathleen will be the next target. Stacy thinks they'll come to their senses and get rid of Chet because Kathy can actually swim. Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). The intro song is dedicated to blissfully unaware Mary. The outro is dedicated to the Airai alliance that sent her packing. They certainly made this episode a surprise. Here's a link to the artists at the Podcast Music Network in case you want to learn more about them.

Welcome back Survivor Fans!

Let the twists and blindsides begin. Wow, that was a surprising start. Ozzy gets beat in the first challenge, outplayed by Erik and outwitted by Jonny Fairplay and Yau-Man. Then, Jonny Fairplay wrangles himself into a position of power in a group of All Stars. The Favs end up with not one but two showmances in the making, and then the Fans win the immunity challenge. It wasn't even a competition. A supposed super fan contemplates quitting on the first night, and the most infamous villian ever to play the game quits by asking everyone to vote him out first. This is going to be an incredible season!

Parvati was her usual self. First describing how she's going to bring so much more to the game than just flirting and then offering a demonstration of how she can reel James in by, wait for it, flirting. What did you think about Amanda and Ozzy though? Did that surprise you that she would make such an apparent blunder so early? Is it perhaps a clever plan to attach herself to one of the most physical threats in the game much like Todd's strategy from last season?

Was anyone else surprised by how Parvati and Eliza ended up going after each other? What is your impression of this cast now that you've had a chance to see them in action? Did Alexis, Mary, or Natalie even say anything in that episode? Do you think the Favs are on a course to self destruct?

Here's the tribes after episode 1.
Airai: Alexis, Chet, Erik, Jason, Joel, Kathleen, Mary, Mikey, Natalie, and Tracy
Malakal: Amanda, Ami, Cirie, Eliza, James, Jonathan, Ozzy, Parvati, and Yau-Man

We both think Chet will be the next to go.

Both songs this week are dedicated to Jonny Fairplay. Many of us picked him to be the first voted off. I doubt if anyone expected him to quit though. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them.

Need some Survivor goodness to fill the gap before season 16 begins next week?

We've got just what the Survivor SuperFan ordered. That's right. It's time for our "Judge a Book" show, where fans and listeners send in their impressions of the new castaways before we get to see the first episode. These folks spend time studying the bios, favorites lists, and intro videos to gleen some insight and share their predictions with us.

This one is a whopper of a show too. It's the longest one we've ever recorded at 2+ hours. Did you expect anything less from what promises to be one of the best seasons of Survivor yet? :)

Many thanks to everyone that took the time to send in their thoughts. This week we hear from: Belinda, Holly L, Kathy, Doug, Holly K, Carol, Dawn, Paul, Fancy, MikeK, Sandi, and Brian.

If you're interested in participating in the Jo Ann & Stacy Show Survivor Fantasy League(JSFL), send an email to jsfl.admin@gmail.com with JSFL in the subject line to let us know, and we'll add you to the roster and send you additional instructions. The prize this season will be similar to last season, e.g. a Survivor t-shirt or Survivor DVD Blast game. Not sure what the JSFL is? Check out the links section below for the rules we used last season along with the results.

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). Calling all Survivor Fans!

We're getting ready for the kickoff of the 16th season of Survivor. This marks our 7th season of podcasting about Survivor, what we refer to as one of our life's simple pleasures. Basically, we enjoy watching Survivor and talking about it with our friends, and we begin each season with our "Judge a Book by its Cover" show.

We want to hear what you think about the 20 contestants for Survivor Micronesia: Fans vs Favorites.
Study the pictures at cbs.com, read their bios, watch the videos and let us know how well you think they will do this season. Yeah, we know you don't really have a clue yet for the fans at least, but that's a big part of the fun.

Who's your pick for the first one voted out?
Go out on a limb, and tell us who you think will win it all.
Which ones do you think will make the merge and who just doesn't stand a chance?

Send your impressions to us by 5pm PST on Thursday, January 31st, and we'll include them in the show for everyone to hear.

It's great to see two real Survivor fans in the final three. It certainly seemed like Amanda had a lock on it. Many listeners have been singing her praises from early in the game. You never quite know how the final tribal council will play out though. Sometimes the jury votes out of anger, other times they realize it's a game and reward someone that played well.

What did you think about how the final four finished the season? Do you think Todd and Amanda had an unfair advantage given their knowledge of the game? Do you think Denise would have won if she had made it to final three? Do you think the best player won?

You've got one more opportunity to share your views on Survivor China. We'll be doing the final Listener Feedback show for this season on Thursday, 12/20. We're looking forward to hearing from you one more time.

Oh yeah, we got to go to the Survivor China finale and do interviews on the red carpet! Watch the site here for pictures and videos this week.

Fei Long for the win! I guess you could look back at the last couple of episodes and claim that we got a very predictable result given that the Fei Long four held tight, but there was plenty of suspense with tonight's episode to keep us guessing.

Was anyone besides Stacy rooting for PG, even just a little to make it to final four? Do you think Courtney knew what she was doing at the reward challenge? Did she purposely give the win to Denise to avoid having to make the choices of who would get to join the winner? Did Amanda miss her chance to get rid of her biggest remaining threat? Will her decision to not eliminate Todd come back to haunt her? Who's the better Survivor player: Denise or Courtney?

Here's the final four for Survivor China.
Hae Da Fung: Amanda, Courtney, Denise, and Todd

We're a little confused about how this is going to play out though. The "Next on Survivor" at the end of tonight's episode said there would be 3 more tribal councils, but the "Next Episode" text at the website says that "the final three are held accountable for their actions". How can you go to Tribal Council 3 more times if we only have 4 Survivors left?

Regardless, here's how we think the final four order will play out:

4th3rd2ndWinner!
Jo Ann Denise Courtney Todd Amanda
Stacy Courtney Amanda Denise Todd

What are your picks for the final four order?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). The intro is dedicated to Todd who managed to hang in there and thwart an all female final four. The outro is dedicated to the Great Wall. This is the last Listener Feedback before the finale, which means this might just be the key to guessing the correct order for the final four.

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us, share your views on the most recent episode and your predictions for what you think we can expect next. Lots of responses on Todd's disclosure. Denise appears to be someone we're all happy for when she wins or just gets included, but no one would accuse of her really playing the game to win, and feelings continue to be mixed for PG. On the one hand, she's still in the game, but everytime she talks, it's like she's pushing us away.

This week we hear from: Kimberly, Kathy, Graham from Scotland, Brad, Chris, John, MikeK, Paul and Brian.

We love hearing what you thought about each episode, and we've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). Oh, we get it. Todd was never at risk in this episode. Those "Next on Survivor" clues from last week were just a misdirect like when they hinted that James was at risk. No, wait, that really did happen. How does this work again?

Ok, you gotta sound off on this one. Did Todd give us a Johnny Fairplay moment, or was that story about his sister true? Will the ladies rally and give us an all female final 4? PG is definitely a scrapper. Do you think she could win it all if she makes it to final 3? Do you find yourself rooting for the underdog even a little bit?

Here's the merged tribe after episode 11.
Hae Da Fung: Amanda, Courtney, Denise, Peih-Gee, and Todd

Jo Ann's back to thinking PG will go next. Stacy fell for the tricky editing this week, but he's just sure Todd will be on his way out in episode 12.

Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). It's time for another helping of Listener Feedback. You can bet everyone has something to say about the first Survivor to ever hold two immunity idols and get voted out before ever playing either of them.

The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us, share your views on the most recent episode and your predictions for what you think we can expect next. Most of us really enjoyed episode 10 with one exception. The "cliffhanger" was a unanimous disappointment. We got some really good analysis of PGs choices for who to take on the reward challenge, Amanda taking the initiative to get rid James, an assessment of this season's real villian, and Brian brought some humble pie for everyone to enjoy!

This week we hear from: Kathy, Toledo Dave, Doug, Graham from Florida, MikeF, Brad, Carol, John, Rob, Paul, Graham from Scotland, Sandi, MikeK and Brian.

We love hearing what you thought about each episode, and we've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). The intro music is dedicated to James. We all wish we had been able to interview him last week. The outro is another beautiful tune from Kip Traylor and evokes thoughts of home and family which we expect the Survivors to be focusing on in episode 11. Our regularly scheduled interview with this week's castoff has been canceled.

CBS informed us that James will not be available for an interview.

Thank you to everyone that submitted questions. We had a huge list, and we were really looking forward to speaking with him too.

Sorry,

Those diabolically clever editors did it again. With all the promo talk and hints about someone being blindsided, we figured it was just too obvious that James would be the target. It just had to be someone else. Next, they'll trick us into eating our vegatables too.

How does someone have TWO immunity idols and never play one? Did you watch James' final words video? Do you think he just got tired and quit? Was it wise of Amanda to finally show her hand and take control of the alliance to initiate the removal of James? Would it have been better for her to plant the seed with Todd and let him do the dirty work? What about Erik and PG? Will they make it to the final 3?

Here's the new merged tribe after episode 10.
Hae Da Fung: Amanda, Courtney, Denise, Erik, Peih-Gee, and Todd

Jo Ann is convinced that the "fourth time is the charm" and PG will finally be voted out in episode 11. Stacy thinks that Amanda's on a roll, and we will be saying bye to Todd next.

Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). The intro music is dedicated to James. Yes, we used it back in the LF show for episode 7, but it's a perfect fit for this episode too. Kip Traylor is our featured artist for the outro. The title certainly can serve as words of caution to Amanda as she endeavours to eliminate her strongest competition. Here are links to the artists in case you want to learn more about them.
